JJ. Chicken — Restaurant in Memphis

We ordered 2 catfish filets plates with 2 orders corn nuggets, fried mushrooms, hush puppies and fried pickles. Slaw was supposed to come with both. We received no slaw and all the food was ice cold. We were told 15 minutes when we called it in and still had to wait another 10 minutes when we got there. When I say everything was ice cold I mean FRIDGE COLD. Called to complain and was told if we didn't want to bring it back in the pouring rain then there was nothing they could do. Greeted with a smile, which is always great. Thought I was Ordering wings only but was given a combo. It was cheaper nevertheless but I was that was explained beforehand so I could have made that decision, being cheaper or not. The season blend was decent, but the size of the wings after fried was terribly small. I understand the reason for the deal at this point. Everything was made to order, so I can't be mad about that. We live in West TN and visited this establishment. Would definitely go back! The owner was feeding local kids from the neighborhood. We talked to him for over 30 min - just an all around GOOD person to get to know. Most restaurant owners don’t have time to interact and that’s understandable but this man went above and beyond to greet and get to know people.
