Willie mae's southern soul cooking — Restaurant in Memphis

This was a horrible experience that I’ve had in Memphis by far went to the restaurant today called the restaurant before going and they said they were gonna be open in a little later. That was OK. Got there ordered pork chops, cabbage, mac & cheese, and so-called yams. The cabbage was mashed up, looked as if someone had chewed it and spit it back out into the plate. The yams had no flavor as if they have been poured straight out of a can. The only thing that was good was the store about little cornbread muffins that I believe they sell at Sam’s Club in Walmart The pork chop was humongous but lacked flavor and it was full of bones. It was like an assorted pork chop not a center cut or anything like that 1599 a plate $1.54 can of soda. The food was just really really disgusting. First time at this establishment. I was hungry, on my 30minute lunch break. I fault myself for not checking the reviews before patronizing at a place I've never eaten at before. After looking over the menu I decided to play it safe and order a cheeseburger combo. It includes fries and a small cup of tea or lemonade. I choose tea, Upon ordering I was informed that my order would take at least 20 minutes because the ground beef had to be hand pattied. Which made me happy to wait. The fries were decent, the tea was disgusting. The burger was a small frozen unseasoned patty that was burnt and hard to bite and hard to chew. Put me on the mind of eating a chico stick. I was very unsatisfied and all I could think about was how I spent $13...

This was my first time eating at this place, however, it will definitely be my last time. Firstly, the bowl of chitterlings that I was charged $22 and some change for was NOT fully filled. The second and most important thing is that, the chitterlings were NOT fully cooked/cooked properly. This mess chewed like tired rubber. This brings me to my third issue, the seasoning, OMG, the seasoning is horrible like what the heck did you guys use. I will NEVER come back to this establishment. I’ve had some darn good chitterlings, my mother was a PRO. The ONLY people Chitterlings I will stick to is L&T Catering located in Whitehaven, TN. This is NOT IT AT ALL....
