Stopped in this quaint little shop in the town of Menard, Texas.(Population almost nothing. ) on our way to Fort McKavitt state park. We stopped in after 1:30 and even though they closed at 2:00 he still had items to sell. We bought several items chocolate one of the Three Sisters who do all the baking and on the restaurant. She was so friendly. To be honest I wasn't expecting much in ways of taste considering we were there just before closing and the pastries have probably been sitting out most of the day. We talked and we bought and packaged them up put them in the back of the car. Drove around went to the park drove home so they were in the back seat probably a good for 5 hours not a cooler just in the bag. When we got home and started to enjoy the beautiful pastries that we bought the almond croissant was so delicious. My husband and I both said it has been the best croissant we have ever eaten anywhere in all the states that we have traveled in the many years. I cannot wait to sit down and do a review for these three young sisters. There's still in making and baking the pastries they sell in the shop could be on the Main Street in any big city. They may be 80 Mi away from my home but I know they will be getting some more of my business...

A clean, bright and inviting place with naturally lit seating and a central Texas modern feel.

It was my first time in today, and it is definitely worth going back for. Greeted by one of the lovely owners of the business, I made sure to look at the assortment of fun an unique items for sale around the shop before ordering. I ordered a Coffee Choux Bun and a Cherry Danish with a black drip coffee. The pastries were both delicious (even though I didn't finish either yet, they're decently sized!), and the coffee was smooth with a nice lasting finish.

They also have an assortment of pre-prepared items in a cooler area that looked fresh and tasty, but what I wasn't expecting was pizza! If the pizza is as good as the pastries, then I've got a new favorite pizza joint. I'll make an edit once I bake it this evening!

To summarize my experience: if you're a local or especially someone passing through who wants a surprisingly fresh, homemade bite to eat or a variety of café style drink options, please give this...

I have been driving through Menard all of my of my life. Never have I ever had a pastry in this townđŸ€ ! TSK is a game changer for this lovely community.

We stopped in for lunch with our boy Jax, and had “ the Sicilian “ sandwich. This is a very tasty and, basically an upscale ham and cheese. I do recommend warming it up slightly to bring out all of the flavors of the homemade sordough bread, cheese, ham. Great sandwhich.

We picked up a frozen ready to cook Beef enchilada dish to go as well. These were tasty “ Truck Stop” style. I will try the chicken next trip thru.

The shaded out door herb garden and patio is very comfy and cool. This is a dog friendly area. We sat outside, had lunch and enjoyed it very much.

This is a destination dining location for us, we have been coming through here for years, now we have a place to walk the dog, have lunch and take home some enchiladas for Dad.

Can’t wait to...

We stopped in on a road trip because we passed by and it looked like a good place. Just a cute little family owned bakery and cafe! Everyone was super nice and the baked goods we tried (a kitchen sink cookie, blueberry lemon loaf, and apricot pastry) were really well done. The inside is really clean and has nice merchandising, as well as a sitting area. The sitting area outside was also really great, though maybe not as comfortable in the Texas summers lol! Definitely worth a stop if you’re living in or passing through Menard!
