Took our family of 8 in for eats and treats after visiting the museum. We were excited to see a La Michoacana and we were hungry. As we entered, there were maskless customers waiting, without food or drink, within arms reach at the entrance door yet we were asked if we all had masks. As we stood next to a seated, unmasked family as they waited for their food, we said, "no, we don't have masks" and the young guy working the counter told us we had to leave. Any personal beliefs aside, and with all due respect to family run business trying to do things right, this really felt unfair and hard to justify. I respect families trying to run their business at challenging times with unrealistic pressure from the corrupt state to impose nonsense mask wearing requirement while standing but not while seated. Simply nonsensical and they lost our business that day before even starting. Perhaps if we entered and immediately sat down we would be viewed as "safe". So many businesses lose customers enforcing illogical rules or unfairly imposing them. As a resident of Riverside County, this is actually the first food establishment I have been to that requested a mask and it should be known that we eat out regularly all over the county. Bad for business to unfairly pick and choose who has to wear masks and who does not. Regardless of any state unenforceable mandates, unsupported by our own sheriff, letting customers who are seated remove thier masks vs. standing customers that cannot remove their makes no sense at all. I hope the best for your business and we were so excited to try the eats and La Michoacana Ice creams are the best. Just give some consideration to this. It's food for thought. I am out in the community daily and honestly your store is the only one requiring masks to be served food. Thank you...
Read moreI had a very disappointing experience here. I ordered a banana split, expecting something fresh and enjoyable, but instead the toppings were stale, lacking flavor, and tasted like they had been sitting out for days. It completely ruined the dessert.
To make matters worse, the employee who took my order was rude and impatient. As a first-time customer, I was trying to look over the menu and decide what I wanted, but instead of being welcoming or helpful, they acted annoyed that I wasnât ordering fast enough. Thatâs no way to treat a customer, especially someone visiting for the first time.
Between the poor quality of the dessert and the lack of basic customer service, I wonât be coming back. There are far better places that actually care about their product and their customers.
UPDATE: 09/28/2025 - 12:35AM (Response to the ownerâs response)
Itâs disappointing to see how the owner of this establishment responds to customers. Instead of addressing concerns with professionalism or offering solutions, the replies come across as dismissive and unprofessional. This isnât just my experienceâlooking through other reviews, itâs clear thereâs a consistent pattern of poor customer service and lack of accountability.
As for the food, I wish I could say my experience was different, but it wasnât. The quality is simply not good, and based on other reviews, I am not alone in feeling this way. A good business should listen to its customers, accept responsibility, and strive to improve. Unfortunately, this place chooses to argue with unhappy customers instead of fixing the issues that so many people have pointed out.
I strongly encourage anyone considering this place to read through the reviews first and make an informed decision before...
Read moreLoved going to this place, although you might be waiting to get your order taken for about 10 minutes and another 10 minutes for the order I thought it was worth it. The last time I went in I ordered a drink and was curious as to why it was sour. Mind you I havenât tried the drink before so I was just curious, the lady I asked was nice however she went over to tell her associate (im guessing is the owner because her spouse came in and kissed her as she was working on orders which is not appropriate for the work environment but thatâs me personally) told her that I said it was sour and automatically went into defense mode and rudely told me âthatâs why you should try a drink youâve never triedâ I proceeded to tell her I was just curious as to what the ingredients where I was not complaining what so ever. As Iâm walking out the door she is still LOUDLY vocalizing that next time I should try drinks before buying them infront of multiple customers embarrassing me as if I was causing a problem and now I will no longer be coming. What a shame, and shame on you for making a customer feel that way over a question that couldâve been...
