U-Turn For Christ Thrift Store — Local services in Menifee

Went to donate at this location. Sign on the door says donations are accepted at the back gate. I went to the back gate, which was open. A sign said “employees only” so I patiently waited. I could hear talking and laughing and finally an employee spotted me. She looked upset I was there. I told her it says on the front door donations are to be taken to the back. She waved her hand around and said “Yeah in the back!” Behind this store is a vacant field, so not sure what she was talking about. I told her I had a few more items to donate, including a cube organizer. She gave me a dirty look and said “I don’t even know what that is” I was offered no help with my items and when I returned to the back gate the woman had left. They have a sign posted that leaving donations outside the store is illegal, so I was uncomfortable just leaving my items. I will never come back here. Donate to the Hemet Goodwill & Salvation...

(While the employees were all polite, the miscommunication seems to be a huge issue here) I had a headboard to donate and went here Friday to ask if they would take it. The young woman I spoke to said yes, and a second woman after confirming headboard was in “new condition” said to bring it Tuesday. As they were having a big outside sale that day (where several headboards were present) and would be able to take it then. So, I loaded up the headboard and took it down today. Only to be told, no they don’t take headboards. The woman said because they are a small facility and don’t advertise. (If they don’t take headboards, why were they present at the sale?) Very sad to say that I called in before going to take in some donations. They said sure come in but since its 3 already come in to the front. I got there with 5 heavy bags and my toddler by my side and went in. The girl inside named melissa turned me away. She said sorry we can't take anything after 3 its was like 3:10 and i called before i went. So i told her that i called and was told to come in she said no sorry we can't! I had to head back out with no help of them with the heavy bags again. I thought of them because they are a Christian store they would be more polite.. wrong.. if you want to take any donations close by there is another one called donation center there off of hwy 74. I took them there and they...
