Longo's Pizza — Restaurant in Mentor

We had our baby girls 1st birthday party here at Longos on Lakeshore. I have to say from the first call speaking to a young man named Sam who took my party reservations, giving me all the details lf my options for my party, being so kimd and patient with me and all of my questions, to the manager who called me the week before our party (I apologize I forgot her name) but she was absolutely a pleasure! And helped me out by telling me which way I would order would be the best for me financially and took my order. Today showing up early and Brittany our waitress was an absolute delight! She was on her game! She was kind, attentive and caring. She made sure our food came out quickly, and fresh! She came in often to check on us. We never had to wait for refills, we did not have to wait for her to come in to see if we needed more food, more drinks, plates and extra silverware for cake. When we did need to order a little bit more food, she was on top of it, it came out quick, and fresh again. My entire Party loved the food, the service, the atmosphere. The restaurant is clean. Everybody was so friendly. And honestly the last few years it’s really hard to get good service places. Longos did not disappoint. I will not only recommend this restaurant for dine in, but also for parties. Our gratuity was added into our check rightfully so but I honestly feel like Brittny deserves more money and should have given her more of a tip before we left. Our one year-old baby was screaming and crying so I’m definitely going to go back when Brittny is working and give her a little bit more because she definitely deserved it. She helped make , our babies first birthday party better than perfect and I am extremely grateful for that. After many years of being a loyal customer, I just simply can’t with this place anymore. Time and time again I am disappointed by the lack of customer service from this place. This last time was the final straw for me. I had an order placed in advance for a tray of pasta and a tray of chicken fingers. I called the day before my pickup to add a half sheet pizza to my order which I was told I can’t add anything because it’s less than 24 hours in advance (it was 19 hours before my pickup). I truly couldn’t believe I was being told by a pizza place that I couldn’t add a half sheet of pizza to my order 19 hours in advance. It was 5pm when I called and my pickup was for 1:30 pm the next day. It was truly the most incompetent and shocking customer service experience I’ve ever had. This isn’t the first bad example of customer service I’ve experienced from this Longos either. Wait times ridiculously longer than what they tell you, or cutting pizza/calzones so bad it’s better to cut it at home yourself. Everything was amazing, we got fried pickles, large Sicilian , & a medium mashed meatball.

And oh my goodness, Everything was delicious. It was our first time trying longos, & we will definitely be back for more.

the Sicilian was good, the sausage was missing something, but we couldn’t put a finger on it. other than that it was delicious.

Now The mashed meatball. O.M.G. drool-worthy. it was the best pizza i have ever put in my mouth, ( and i usually say that about cheap frozen pizza! ) the cheese just melts in your mouth, the sauce is a bit sweet, the meatballs are amazing. it’s something i will get every-time i go, ( or when i order online.)

the fried pickles were nothing to call home about ( for me!) however, my mom loved them and she brought home leftovers to snack on all night. it’s nothing personal, i’m just not a huge pickle fan.

The waitress, i couldn’t catch her name, but she was very hands on and great! i so wish i could’ve left her a bigger tip. but everything was great & she made sure we were okay a couple of times.

i’m full as a tick now, but i can’t wait...
