My dentist recommended this place to us. We love loaded hotdogs, so we decided to come check it out last weekend. We ordered over the phone which is all they're doing right now. I wish they let you pay over the phone, but someone comes and takes your payment from the car when you get there. They give you a number and then you wait for your order. We told them when we would be there and probably waited about 5-10 minutes when we got there. This was definitely the most crowded place we've gotten takeout from (and we were there at 3:45). We got 5 long hotdogs (which was a little too much food for us). We tried the Fiesta Dawg, Hawaiian Dawg, Chicago Dawg, Jalepeño Popper Dawg, and the Flame Dog. We also got a tiny fry and a peanut butter marshmallow milkshake. My favorite hotdogs were the Fiesta Dawg and the Flame Dawg followed closely by the Hawaiian Dawg. The Jalepeño Popper Dawg was also pretty good. We loved all of the toppings. I was not a fan of the Chicago Dawg. It was really dry (almost no mustard). They also put cucumbers/jalepeños on it and no sports peppers/onions for some reason. The tiny fry was huge. It was definitely enough for multiple people to share. They were pretty good, but I forgot to ask for any kind of sauce, so I didn't enjoy them as much by themselves. We both loved the milkshake and would get one again. If you love hotdogs, come check this place out. We took our food down to the beach to enjoy it!

We got the flame dog, and I will say, not as spicy as we thought it would be. The hot dog though is delicious, and to be honest, it is great on its own without all the extra things, but it's fun to see all different ways they can create a meal out of a hot dog. Also, look at how big that home wrecker dog is! Fills you up! The fries were good, and I was really looking forward to the chili cheese fries, but the chili part did let me down. It was more tomato than anything. The ice cream 👍 I got birthday cake, which is my favorite flavor, and it delivered. SO GOOD! I suggest going on a nice day that you can sit outside. They are tiny inside and not much seating on the inside, but they have a lot of picnic tables all around the building outside to sit. They were SUPER busy even on a Thursday evening during summertime, but they are very quick. I didn't mind standing in the line that went outside. They have menus posted on the wall when you 1st open the door. I suggest taking a picture and deciding while you wait to you know what you want when you get to the register. Pepsi products, so sorry Coke fans. They also have bottled water, bottled iced tea, and I got a bottle diet Dr pepper since I don't like Pepsi. You'll find something to drink. Will I visit again? Absolutely! With all those options, I need to try another. 2 flame dog home wreckers, 1 large chili cheese fry, 2 scoop birthday cake ice came to about $35

Stopped here on the way to the beach last week. The inside is very small so if you go here when it’s busy you’ll have to eat outside on a picnic table (there are a few with shade and a few without). We had a flame dog and a naked dog. Both were good! My only complaint with the hot dogs was that the buns were stale and hard. If the buns were fresher they would have been perfect! This is why I gave food 4/5 stars. We also ordered a junior size of fries. There are three larger sizes than this and this amount was enough for us two so keep that in mind before you order a small or medium! The fries were GREAT but we added salt to ours because we like salty fries. Next to the drink fountain there are tons of condiments available like salt, pepper, ketchup, mustard, and also a large variety of hot sauces. We asked for a cup of cheese with the fries and it was warm and soft! We also ordered the CeeCee burger which was pretty good. Service at old school places like this tends to be hit or miss, but the cashier was very kind and friendly, we didn’t feel rushed at all! Overall, I really liked this place and will be back again. Hopefully my first visit was just an off day and the buns will be more fresh next time! My bill was $33 I believe so maybe a little more on the expensive side but pretty average nowadays.

I finally made it to Scooters Dawg House, right before they closed for the season. I can't understand why they would close though as it seems to be a local favorite, has inside seating and take out, and the weather is still good for a while yet! The menu was overwhelming and hard for me to read, written in chalk above the cashier's, and it was a busy lunch time, so I didn't get to look as much as I would have liked. Mom got the classic lucky dog with mustard ketchup and onions. There was supposed to be relish, but there wasn't much present, and it became quite a mess when it typed over in our carry out bag. Minor issue though. I had the best vegan burger I've ever had. Seriously. Very impressed. Being more of a vegetarian, I would have added some cheese, and probably could have, but it was really good as is. We did a "small" order of fries. I think they need to add a "tiny" size. It was a lot. We also tried the onion rings, which I enjoyed. I'm no officianado, but their hot dogs seemed almost more like sausages to me. I can see why they are popular. One thing that made me very sad was my inability to get ice cream. What an incredible ice cream and flurry menu. I wanted so many things, from vanilla soft serve with chocolate dip to fancy sundaes and milkshakes. My brother says it's the best. He generally has good taste. About ice...
