If I had the possibility to make a -0 star review, even though I know there is no such thing as -0, I would. This place was so unclean, unsanitary and so disrespectful to people with families. I called the movie theater this morning to check on age and rates for movies. The guy told me we were all good to go and I bought our tickets online. First theater we went to was out of power, but we called the one by Sam’s Club and they said they would honor our tickets. So we went to the 340 showing. Spent money on food, snacks, and drinks. (Mind you there is barely any seating in the lobby). All while my 14 month played with her beetlejuice doll. Showed the ticket lady our tickets and she ushered us to our theater room. We get about half way through the movie and my daughter throws up. Ok, things happen. My husband and I take her to the bathroom to get cleaned up. Neither bathrooms had a changing table. I asked someone and they told me to check back by the concessions. I took my daughter up there, only in her diaper because her clothes were full of puke, and I asked the new lady checking stubs. She says they don’t have one and immediately asked me what theater room I just came from. I told her beetlejuice and offered to show her my ticket stub. She said it wasn’t needed. (But why are there no changing stations in any of the bathrooms? Are we not living in 2024, isn's this mandated?) I walked back down to the bathroom by the movie showing room where my husband was rinsing my daughters clothes off and had to change my daughter on the ground behind a trash can. All the while a manager comes up to me and informs me we need to leave immediately because they can’t have a baby in a PG13 movie. (Doesn't PG stand for Parental Guidance, and are we not her parents?) After much discussion between me, the managers and my husband, we were escorted out. Even after I called ahead and got approval. I have never been more embarrassed and humiliated. Shame on you Atlas Cinemas on Diamond Square! We were offered a coupon for a movie later on but I chose not to take it. Who on earth would ever want to go back to the movies after that?...
Read moreIt has good food but the rules is terrible. About a week ago my 5 friends went to see the movie, The Nun. Reminder that all of the 5 friends were not teens yet, 12 years old. They got in it just fine. Their parent paid for the 5 tickets and just left. Yesterday I went with my brother and neighbor to the same theater. My mother paid for the tickets and just left us. We got our popcorn and drinks and headed for the ticket person. He asked us do you have your id’s. We said no but we didn’t wanna waste 50 dollars on getting thrown out. I called my mom and she got us in but then left. We were like 10 minutes in the movie until all the employees were standing outside the theater door, they kept walking in and walking out. Until an old lady comes in with a flash light pointing straight at us and turns it right off when she turns. We thought that they told her to do it just to make sure we were in there alone. A lady asked us where’s our mother and we said bathroom and they said we saw her sneak out so you guys have to leave. We left but the thing is we are teenagers. We aren’t gonna scream like little kids. We got our money back but I recommend to ask the guy where you buy the tickets if you need a parent or guardian with...
Read moreIt's not bad. My wife and I go pretty often for the $5 movie night on Mondays, which is a great deal. I do have a few issues with the place though...we had just went to see Dune, and I was seriously envying them on that desert planet, because it was so COLD in the theater. I know you have to expect that at the movies, but it was 40 degrees outside, and it felt the same watching the movie. I was shivering and trying to rub my body for warmth the whole time. The sound isn't very clear at this theater either...it was "loud" enough, but the lows are so low and muffled, it's really hard to make out what's being said at times. And lastly, the seating is designed very strangely...the stadium seating rooms don't have reclining seats, but the flat theater rooms do. Since there's no separate levels, you recline in your chair and have the row of chairs in front of you blocking half the screen. That being said, I love going to the movies. Support your local theater if you still want Hollywood to continue making...
