Quite disappointed, firstly we were told they were out of steak, ok no big deal, opening weeks it can happen, we decided on chicken instead, we placed our order to what seemed to be a 9-10 year old boy, told him exactly how we would like our cheesesteak, asked questions about what’s on it etc, didn’t seem to know exactly, so we explained what we only wanted on it to make it simpler for him. Paid $40 for 2 chicken cheesesteaks, 1 fries and 1 soda (they had a combo for $20 for cheesesteak, fries and soda) which we though was very expensive, so we did 1 combo and 1 extra cheesesteak. As we paid I noticed a charge if I used card (that is against the law in CT) it was like a dollar and change, again no biggie. I asked for a receipt but he couldn’t figure out how to re-print the receipt, again whatever. We waited 45min to get our food, it wasn’t extremely busy. They seemed to be very unorganized. We took our food to go, when we get back the food was not what we asked for, had onions when we specifically asked for no onions on both, we counted 16 fries in our container, seemed very few based on price, as we were eating (although we should have gone back and complained) we did not and just ate what we were given, we notice it to me extremely salty, my fiancé also noticed a piece of hair in her food, needless to say we were extremely dissatisfied. I would...
Read moreFirst off they charge differently if it's a card or cash be weary of this bc they didn't say anything when I asked if I could pay with card. Before ordering they told me they were out of chicken it was about 12 in the afternoon. Strange When I did notice about the price difference they back tracked little about the price. Just be upfront about it I promise nobody will be angry or mad you're charging two different prices. I just wish I knew before ordering.
It was okay asked for a steak and cheese with wiz and onions The shaved steak was thin and tender which was great. The only gripe I had was on my steak there was like a sweet BBQ sauce on it...now like I said I only asked for wiz and onions so where did this sauce come from and why wasn't it listed on the toppings for the sub. Fries weren't salted...or...
Read moreSo here’s my 2 cents worth… Used to live in Phila and have had steaks from like all the shops that existed between 2008-2009, so that’s my frame of reference. Food: ordered a standard - cheese wit’. IMO, not Phila-level good. Bread’s just too soft, I’m doubting rib eye from the look and feel of the chop and the whiz (only offer that or American) was not melted enough, SEEMINGLY added at the end but I didn’t see the prep process cuz it was packed to the gills in there. Service: leaning 3 but gave 4 stars bc the staff are cordial and professional, as they should be. But the wait time for a steak is a bit long. Atmosphere: nice looking spot with potential. With some imagination, I can see some more seating and a standing ledge added, but as of now just 2 two toppers in here. There’s music playing and a tv...
