I tried Wooster St in Meriden again, I had to give them some time since they first opened 2 or 3 years ago as I was not pleased with their food at that time. I wanted to give them another chance since it was unfair of me when they were new as I called them and told them how their food was just not right.well I have to tell you that they listened to my comments and boy have they learned. Night and day two different restaurants. Wow!! Pizza was like Sal’s on East main st back in the day. The crust, the sauce and the cheese, perfect! The chicken tortellini soup , perfect. Read moreWe ordered for the first time . 1 clam pizza, 1 sausage n mushrooms and 3rd bacon . First off the crust needs to be thinner and it was very dry and there’s no fresh garlic on it . Sausage n mushroom was good but barely no sausage and it was chopped up , you need real sausage in size and crust needs to be thinner and bacon n mozzarella and barely no real bacon. If they want that Wooster feeling they have to fix the crust and add the meat and the clam needs more moisture with flavor of clams . Would I try it again ? Not at this time , I’ll give it many more months ahead to get it right ....
Read moreOrdered from this location today 7/29 to give a new pizza place a shot.. honest and to the point. crust/pizza hard not at all easy to bite through. barely any sauce and what it did have lacked flavor. fries tasted like they were fried in old oil. And 2 liter soda was hot.. They took over the old Chefs Hat Pizza location, mannnn i miss Chefs Hat food. definetly wont be ordering from here again... included photos so you can see how little (watery) sauce there was... No one in the house...
