Firehouse Pub & Grill -- KITCHEN CLOSES AT 10 PM! BAR AT 2 AM. Service: 3/5 Food: 3/5 Price for value: 4/5 (tax is included) Bariatrics/Healthy Options: 3.5/5
Overall stars for this establishment, for me, is 3 and here's why:
First off, I thought this place was Firehouse Subs which is a sandwich chain with many stores, but this is a local pub and grill and a completely separate company so if you too thought this was a sandwich shop it's not! It is more of a neighborhood pub as this is a more residential area mostly. It is in the same parking lot as the Dutch Bros, Jacksons, a car wash, Subway, and doughnut shop. It's kind of tucked away in the back and not too noticeable from the street.
When we walked in it was about 9:45 at night. Their kitchen closes at 10, which we didn't' know. The waitresses/bartenders started talking about us saying the kitchen is about to close, and the other was like let's still serve them, and the other gave attitude. They made me feel bad for wanting to eat there... not cool! The waitress that advocated for us to stay, was our server, and she made it all better albeit leaving a bad taste in my mouth. Who wants to eat somewhere where you're not welcome? I felt like Julia Roberts on Rodeo Drive in Pretty Woman...
Looking at the interaction with the bartenders with one another, and with the patrons, I think this is a family owned and operated establishment and their friends frequent the pub--which is awesome to me. The place is decorated awesomely in my opinion with sports, beer, firemen putting out fires and much more. There are pool tables, televisions, and dart boards for your entertainment. They have sitting for all: small tables, tall tables, and booths.
I ordered a chicken salad for $8, tax included, and it was okay. They have decent ranch--my only complaint was that it came in a plastic basket with holes and wax paper, which isn't ideal to eat a salad in.
My dining companion, Jon, ordered 20 wings for $20 and ordered two different flavors: garlic parmesan and BBQ. He liked them. He didn't realize how many 20 wings is apparently because he took 13...
Read moreToday I spent over $100 at this establishment. I ordered my second drink which I ordered wrong and I take full blame for it and I informed them I am more than happy to pay for the first one since it was my fault then they came back within seconds later with the new drink and I tried it and it still tasted like the previous one which I couldn’t drink because I don’t drink soda and I asked them to replace the soda in it with lemonade. The waitress never came back, unless I waved at her and she’s still took to come back. I finally was ready to leave with my mother and I asked them for the check, and I also requested that the second remake of that first drink with soda in it be removed. I will pay for the first one, but I don’t think I should have to pay for the second one because it was not made to my liking, and I only took one or two sips out of it, and I could not drink it and she went back and talk to these so-called manager, which is the owners son. And she then came back and said that the manager would not be removing the second drink because he had to remake it. Just a reminder they did not remove that first drink off of my tab, so I am paying for two drinks that I didn’t even drink at all because I physically couldn’t drink it because I do not drink soda. The so-called manager wouldn’t even come over and talk to me so I paid my $102 bill and informed them that I have been coming here for over five years. I believe it’s been more like 8 to 9 years I’ve been coming here. this place has steadily gotten worse and worse. Worst customer service I’ve ever seen and I work in customer service. I’m actually a manager for customer service. This was absolutely the final straw for this place. Lately every time I come into this establishment, there is always something wrong. Do not waste your time and your money on a place that won’t even treat you...
Read moreWhen we walked in, there were 3 or 4 tables with people at it. The waitress was walking around to those tables but didn't acknowledge us. Since it was our first time here and we didn't see any signs to wait to be seated, we sat in a central location and watched the waitress bring food to one table, go clear another table, go check on folks at another table walking past us several times but never looking at us or acknowledging us in any way. After several minutes, I finally got up and walked over to her and asked if we needed to order at the bar since this was our first time here and she said no, she would bring us menus, so she did, we picked out food, then waited again while she did her rounds and then chatted with someone else behind the bar and finally came over to take our order. We ordered off of the 6 for 6 menu. The food was okay. I had a club wrap. There was a very small piece of bacon in it which I could barely taste. Tortilla shell was slightly burnt but still edible. Maybe a 3 star for the food quality, as it was mediocre, but what really killed the deal was the lack of service. We specifically drove to this place to try it out during our lunch break from work and we...
