Merrimac House of Pizza — Restaurant in Merrimac

I had just gotten out of work, and this was the only pizza place open near by. I walked in and no one acknowledged me for about 10 mins. A man with gray slicked back hair asked can I help you? I told him I was picking up an order. He then tells me I don’t have any orders. I told him my boyfriend called 30 mins ago for 2 steak and cheese. He tells me no I have no orders, and tries to convince me we called Merrimac NH house of pizza. Then I tell him no it was here, and he says “oh I forgot that was me who took the order” proceeds to make the steak, taking it from the cooler with NO gloves on. Asks me about 5 times how we wanted them done. Waited for about 30 minutes. Then I go to pay, and he says no card. So I give him the cash and head home. I was just hungry and exhausted at this point. When I got home to eat I was MORE than disgusted and disappointed. The bread was not toasted and stale, the steak was not seasoned and barely cooked. Cheese was not melted at all, and was made with hots which I specifically did not ask for. I took a couple bites and through the whole sandwich away, and most likely got food poisoning from it. Love these guys. Been going here since they opened 30 some odd years ago. When I was about 10 years old. The price for a small pizza was $3.00 that Was over 30 years ago. Now it's $4.50 try and buy a pizza any where close to that price. Same with the Subs they only increased about double the price in 30 years. They always take care of customer. No fries or credit card. But everything that they make is Good. Old school Greek Pizza Sub shop. Fast time with getting your food.. They don't do slices of pizza because they don't sell enough of it. Imagine cooking up whole pizza for a couple people to get slices and then it sits around and has to be thrown out. They don't have fryer or ventilation system for French fries and they also want to save costs for extra food. To make it simple subs pizza and spaghetti salads and calzone. No specialized pizza like ranch sauce just pizza sauce...

This place is vile. Upon entering flies on the tables. Placed my order for a sub. Upon sitting at one table with lettuce dried on it, so I waited. Cook with black/grey slicked hair is cashing someone out and then grabs my chicken from the oven with no gloves. Services it, then proceeds to cash me out while grease all over his hands and fingertips. Absolutely disgusting and Merrimac Board of Health should be ashamed this practice has continued. I forced myself to mentally push through the situation and visuals but it's just Neglegence and gross AF. Spent 12.00, threw out al my food leftovers. Don't do it. Just watch these guys and their food handling and you will throw up ....
