Hot Rize Bagel Cafe — Restaurant in Merrimack

I was in the area and was looking for a bite to eat and stumbled across this place on google. I saw the high ratings, reviews and pictures and figured I would try it out but I was a little skeptical, because I’ve had mediocre experiences at other cafe / coffee spots that swore they had good food and coffee. I’m so happy I took a chance and decided to eat here. I ordered the chicken club wrap and a chocolate raspberry macchiato iced coffee and wow! The wrap was out of this world.! I was so impressed by how fresh all the ingredients were. The chicken was so juicy and flavorful and the wrap was like no other wrap I’ve ever had. It was also so filling and prices were fair for the quality of food you get. The coffee was amazing as well and the flavors were spot on to what I hoped it would taste like! On top of the food and coffee being so good the overall vibe of this place was enjoyable. Service was super fast and I was able to meet the owner who was working along side her employees which was humbling to see. She was also super kind and you can tell how much pride she has when taking care of her customers.I can’t wait to try other items on the menu and I am already planning...

The menus are difficult to navigate and Zach at the register was neither helpful nor friendly. I couldn't locate the drink menu, and was struggling to figure out what to order, and he just stared at me. Finally I said that I was new to the restaurant and was looking for the drink menu. He pointed to a paper sign next to the register and rattled off a bunch of drinks like I was blind for not having seen it. I apologized for inconveniencing him, which he ignored. I ended up purchasing a baked good instead of ordering the sandwich I wanted because I didn't understand the menu but didn't want to ask any more questions because I was uncomfortable with the attitude I was receiving. My mocha latte tasted burnt, but the woman who served it to me was very pleasant and she is the only reason I am giving 2 stars instead of 1. Based on my experience, I got the strong sensation that Hot Rize is really only for townie locals and regulars and they have no interest in gaining...

I ordered online through their own platform, got a confirmation email, and was charged instantly. When I showed up to pick up my order, they claimed they “never got it” on their end. I literally showed them my confirmation email and my bank charge — clear proof I paid — and they still refused to make my bagel.

Instead of trying to fix the situation, they basically shrugged it off and told me to order and pay again. Absolutely ridiculous customer service. No apology, no effort to make it right — just attitude.

I left empty-handed, out the money I paid, and completely unimpressed. If this is how they handle mistakes in their system, they don’t deserve loyal customers. Save yourself the frustration and go somewhere that actually values...
