I've been a long time customer of Collectable since they opened in both locations. I've always found them friendly, with good prices and deals and offered great customer service. That's been my experience and I might add many others who go there on a regular basis
So I was really surprised to see the very negative posting from John Grant.
Granted every business/owner can have a "bad" day but his statements were so negative and reputation insulting, I had to question Mr. Grants statements as they are not the experience I have had with shopping there for over 4 years, I can only relay go on the statements Mr. Grants' posted to try to resolve what truth they contained.
I was not there so the only thing that I can reflect on is the statement he made as "facts' to support his negative post.
From Mr Grants post.....1) "I see a lot of people are reviewing you for the very first review they ever do. Then they log on and bash Merrimack Firearms down the street. It doesn't take a genius to figure out it's you people that are attacking them. Play Clean!!...
Reality : "Collectable had 24 reviews...Merrimack Firearms has 15 reviews. Most of the Merrimack Firearms reviews are positive and NOT one of the Collectable reviewers posted ANYTHING (positive or negative) on Merrimack Firearms review pages . NO ONE who posted on the Collectable web site posted ANYTHING on Merrimack Firearms reviews!
So where did you get your "evidence" to make this accusation / statement? Play clean ?? Who is playing dirty? No review post made, supports the statement you made in your post ! (looks like a total fabrication to me..and to anyone interested in the truth !) Attacking Firearms ??? Where was the attack? It sure isn't reflected in any of the Firearms posts!
Seems Mr. Grant has a problem separating what he thinks from the actual truth! Mr Grant, if you lie about the facts that can be easily checked in reviewing the posts, I'd say that any other statements you make are the same...simply lies !l.
I shop at both gun shops and they are both fine places. I'm not sure what John Grants problem is. As anyone can see he clearly has some hidden agenda, but it was easy to cross check the statements and seem Mr,r Grant has a clear problem with making truthful statements.
Reviews are great to help the public know about shopping experiences they have had. To bad some people use this to spread lies and try and ruin the reputation of good people and their businesses!
(P.S. If you look at the majority of Mr. Grants posts on other gun shops, they are all very negative too.. You have to wonder if the "problem" is with all those other gun shops or maybe it with Mr, Grant and his view...
Read moreMy dad has been encouraging me to get a gun for our hunting trips up in Plymouth. So after reading all of these awesome reviews, I walked into 619 for the first time with the help of my fiancé (as I know nothing about firearms) and picked out a gorgeous Glock 20, despite the attempts of being talked out of it just about the entire time by the gentlemen working the store and not being asked why I even wanted one. It’s beautiful but it’s a little big so I came back the following day to get a smaller one while picking up my Glock. I figured since I already have one perfect for bears, why not another? My fiancé accompanied me again as he usually does when we go out and we received the most amazing customer service from Dennis. He was so kind and personable. Dennis actually provided me helpful information. I tried very hard to pay attention to him but I was very distracted by the other gentleman whispering about me and my fiancé while we were IN the store like we couldn’t hear! I heard them asking each other who he was to me yet no one approached me to ask me who he was to me. I would’ve happily introduced the love of my life to them! So despite that small lack of professionalism from his co-workers, Dennis was amazing at helping me pick out a second firearm. As he was going to run the check on it, he was stopped. I was told that they were not going to sell me the second gun because they “just had a feeling” and then looked at my fiancé who was the only colored man in the store. I wasn’t even mad about it but I was disappointed. I would’ve liked to have known a legitimately based reason as my background check was clean. My fiancé was just as baffled as he is a gun owner himself and had never seen a female be denied a gun simply because she was accompanied by her life partner. Nevertheless, Dennis was so knowledgeable and you could tell he really cares about the safety of others. Any gun shop would be lucky to have someone like Dennis who engages customers and tries to bring business to the store instead of turning them away! A guy I know personally has purchased more than one firearm from 619. As a woman, I would’ve loved the same...
Read moreThis store is great. I've been going to them for many years now. The prices are great, the atmosphere is great, and they almost always have what I am looking for. Unfortunately, not all reviews can be perfect. I will say that despite my positive experiences, there have been instances where I wasn't pleased with this shop. For instance, the owner of this shop does not want to sell to those who may have a differing political opinion than theirs. If you check out their Facebook page, while they are expressing their constitutional freedom of speech, they choose to use rhetoric that shows they are clearly bias against one half of America. Actually, more than half because in the past 2 elections, the people they despise have held the popular vote. They clearly see themselves outnumbered, just not out gunned. They are not as constitutional as they claim. While supporting the 2nd amendment proudly, they have continued to eliminate posts on their Facebook, invited due to their own political posts, showing their lack of support for freedom of speech. They contribute to the unfortunate "cancel culture" that has infiltrated our country, just as much as the left. I will continue to shop here because I don't think the people who run this shop are bad people. They stand proudly for what they believe in and that is extremely admirable. While I personally find it unfair at times to limit and cancel those who think differently from them, I hope this shop continues to fight the good fight and allow ALL Americans through their doors, regardless of...
