I want to like this place, I do. But I don't and maybe its just the location/branch itself. Shaved Ice in Sunny AZ is the best thing on a hot day besides ice cream or going for a dip in a pool. Unfortunately, this place is not a winner in my eyes (and through experience).
The first time I tried this place, I just didn't enjoy the flavors. The 2nd time I visited, the iced coffee flavor I chose tasted off (not good at all). After those two very spaced out times, I figure maybe it just wasn't the best choice in flavors. And my husband loves this place! So the 3rd time, I honestly decided not to get anything out of fear of getting another bad drink or shaved ice flavor. My family all got some and here I was left out on my own accord.
So when I came here a 4th time, I was feeling pumped about getting a nice iced strawberry lemonade. Easy enough! I love strawberry lemonade! And how could I go wrong when the website states "made with real strawberries and freshly-squeezed lemons and poured over ice". WELL, okay, its a pandemic so the drive-thru was our best option. It was a really long wait time... really long. And there were only about 3 cars ahead of us. When we finally ordered and got to the window, they handed my husband his shaved ice and then closed the window, assuming they would come back right away with my lemonade. NOPE. There was no one in sight. I am pretty sure 8-10 minutes passed before they came back with my small strawberry lemonade. Again, simple enough drink but came out so late. And the cashier at the window just opened the window and handed it over. No friendly customer service like "Sorry about the wait, here's your last drink". She opened the window, stuck her arm out and we took it and left.
The best part... It was disgusting. It didn't taste fresh at all. It tasted like they poured a concentrated syrup of strawberry lemonade and added water and ice. I took two sips and trashed it. Needless to say, I have decided to steer clear of Bahama Buck's.

Do I really have to tell you what my order was 6 times?! The staff was slow, unprofessional, and rude. Then we finally got our order and drove off.... turns out they still managed to screw it up. We got different flavors than we asked for. We were never given a receipt. I contacted Bahama Bucks online and she said the owner would be in contact with me shortly... months go by and I didn't hear from anyone so I messaged her again asking what the hold up was. This went on for about another month... Then I finally got an e-mail from the "owner" and I couldn't even make out half the email. His English is severely broken and he makes no sense. Then he said he would send me coupons and I was okay with that... Another month goes by and I didn't receive anything. Then I e-mailed him and he argued with me!! He said I need to come in to get them. I am 9 months pregnant and do not have the time or energy to drive 20 miles to get a coupon. Then he was asking if he could come over to my house! What?!?!?! SO UNPROFESSIONAL. I said no of course and then he said he would mail the coupon and I suggested he use a tracking number. First and foremost, the cream they used on the shaved ice was not just bad; it was utterly rotten and clumpy. It completely ruined the overall taste of the treat I was looking forward to. On top of that, the customer service was nothing short of a nightmare. The employees seemed disinterested and careless, lacking any sense of professionalism. It felt as though they couldn't care less about the quality of the product or the satisfaction of the customers. In fact, I found their attitude to be disrespectful and inexcusable. It's clear that they need immediate training or possibly even a change in management, as firing the employees might be a necessary step to bring about the required improvements.
