We went to dinner while vacationing near Mesquite. We didn't know that it was the night of a big local game, so the place was packed!!! However, we weren't even greeted when we walked in. There was no one at the hostess station, and even when she returned, she didn't even look up to see if anyone new had entered the restaurant (and there was only one other couple in the waiting area when we first got there).

They have a bar side and a restaurant side of the establishment. We sat on the restaurant side. When our waitress FINALLY showed up to our table there was an EXTREME!!!! language barrier that made it very difficult to communicate. We asked for a drink menu but they don't have one, so we had to order whatever we could think of on our own on the fly. We understood that they were extremely busy, but it seemed to take WAY longer than it should have to receive our drink and food order. I had already drank 3/4 of my drink by the time the food got to our table and I had to order another. The drinks were good, but my burger was SUPER burnt!!! I had asked for it to be medium-well and it was well, well, well done, to the point that the first thing I tasted with every bite was the burnt meat and it left an ashy taste in my mouth. The fries were fantastic! My husband loved his burger, the bun was replaced with garlic bread and it was AMAZING!!! I'm not one to return food, because I don't want the staff to mess with my food while it's in the kitchen if they get upset.

We would return to Wedgies again, but I would ask for my burger to be cooked at a lower temp and level...

Party of three were seated in ample booth. Appetizer ordered, Nachos Bel Grande were a heaping affordable platter served with chunky guacamole, sour cream and a non-descript salsa. The cheese sauce was barely present. Plenty of spicy ground beef with beans, and sliced jalapenos. Don't think this negatively criticizes, because the appetizer was well-balanced. It just alerts those with an expectation of pile of gooey cheese. Wedgie's offers a variety of burgers, the conscientious diners across the table ordered a chicken salad, and a medium burger without bun, the latter accommodated without comment. I ordered a Hawaiian burger done medium. The bun was overtoasted and the meat Patty charcoal grill blackened past medium. These were topped with a broad leaf lettuce and a grilled pineapple ring and a roast pepper dressed with a citrus sauce. At 7pm with only half the dining facility open, they were out of coleslaw, so rather than alternatively french fries, I opted for the potato salad. I should mention we all started with a cup of excellent minestrone soup. So even if I questioned the preparation of our meals, they were flavorful and sizably proportioned. The wait was longer than normal. So be patient and take in the professional and collegiate banners and flags suspended from the ceiling. Most booths have cable TV tuned into a...

I should have read the reviews. We were in town from Utah and needed lunch, thought this "sports bar and grill" would be the place to do the trick, but it's not. Dingy hole on the wall that looks like it hasn't had a make over since the 70s. We were seated and had no one come to our table for over 10 mins. Side notezero vegetarian options on the menu once we ordered, it would be another 40 mins before the side salad came out (we were getting up to leave when it came...we assumed the rest of the food was also coming out, we were wrong) Then 10 mins later the appetizer. Another 10 mins and the first entree trickled out. Its been over and hour, At this point we cancelled the rest of the orders, a lettuce wrap and pizza...they were upset because the pizza "had just come out of the oven", we accepted it because our 5 yr old that had ordered it was excited for it and super hungry. This terrible lunch came with an expensive tab as well, for a pizza, appetizer, side salad and chicken tenders it was over $50. For the money we could have had a nice, complete, timely meal,...

First time visiting here from out of town, and I'm not terribly impressed. The atmosphere is either very bland and boring (restaurant side) or very loud and boisterous (bar side). Food is bland at best. My husband (who generally eats three plates of pasta at home) didn't even finish half of his plate of Cajun Chicken Alfredo.... I've literally never (in 13yrs+) ever seen him not finish a plate of pasta. I had the party melt with onion rings, which is hard to do wrong and it was not great either. They use a really thick light rye bread, so it was too much bland bread to the thin patty. The onions were really super extra greasy and lacked flavor. The onion rings were decent, but I found a stray chicken nugget in them which made me worry about how they store their uncooked rings. Overall, I'd say this place is a go if you like beer and yelling at sports, but if you like good food and a variety of drinks, this is not the place to go.

A business associate and I needed a place to eat while passing through. The fast food options didn’t seem appealing. We had a bit of a rough go. While I’m a hurry, the hostess sat us quickly. We witnessed quite a few, elderly people, who were overly drunk. It was interesting to see. We nearly left after sitting for over 15 minutes without a waiter/waitress to attend to us. Just as we stood up, they noticed and rushed over. Wedgies has a slew of options you would expect that a bar would serve: fries, soups, hamburgers, and salads. They had a slew of drinks to choose from. Overall, the experience was mediocre at best. Not great food, not great service. The dining area really needed some cleaning attention. It seemed like every time we needed some help, the staff was on their phones. I don’t know that I can recommend this place. It just felt like they really didn’t care. As quickly as we could, we ordered, ate, and left.

The server forgot like half of our orders but the food was delicious. We ended up leaving with the food she forgot in a to-go bag. lol I asked for the 12oz new York stake to be medium rare but it came out medium well. I like my steak a little more on the bloody side but it was still good. I wasn't about to ask them to take it back because I've seen the movie "waiting" and I didn't want any "garlic salt" on my steak. lol My wife said I should have left a little to no tip due to all the items they got wrong, but I enjoyed the place so I left a decent tip. Good place to eat overall. I will definitely come here again. In the words of a wise man and woman... "If the steak is not medium rare, then tell me how I'm supposed to breath with no air... no aiiiiiiiiiir. -Abraham Lincoln & Jordan Sparks
