Wing City Mesquite — Restaurant in Mesquite

Today I called in an order for a 10-wing combo and a wing and fish combo. The guy that took the order said it would be 20 mins and my order would be cooked to order. It was 2:19 when I placed my order. I arrived at the restaurant at 2:40 and paid.The cashier informed that it would still be 10 minutes til our order came up. The cashier was not the friendliest as well. I asked about the flavors of daiquiri and her response was “blue something”. I still decided to purchase two. I honestly didn’t taste any liquor in the daiquiri nor did my wife. We proceeded to continue to wait for our food. Maybe 3 minutes later another employee came out to inform us it may a couple more minutes because we did order all flats but ensured it would be hot and fresh. Our order eventually came up finally at 3:05 pm(45 minutes after promised) We decide to take our food to go because we were in a rush. We decided to eat the food in the car on the way to our next destination. I discovered after biting into one of the flats that they were warm and not fresh as promised. The steak fries was hot, crispy and good!! The fish I was really disappointed in. It had a fishy smell and taste to it. I could tell the batter was seasoned but the actual fish didn’t taste seasoned. We took a couple of bites but couldn’t finish the fish. I definitely expected more from Wing City just by what I’ve seen on social media. I honestly don’t think I will return. Overall I enjoyed the Garland location much better. Garland had some off days food wise here and there but at their best the food was great. The biggest difference i experienced in my first visit to this location for lunch was service. Went in for a to-go lunch order. The inside at least is pretty nice aesthetically. The staff was interesting, it was like a kickback was going on here and I was interrupting. Mostly on their phones, talking ish to each other loudly , and reciting the lyrics to whatever music video was playing religiously. Order took about 30-35 minutes for a basic 10 wing with fries. Found myself having to rush home for a meeting. Which is weird because It wasn’t busy. The real kicker is all could (for me anyway) be overlooked if the food was on point…. It was not… I asked for a 10 wing breaded. I open my box up. Half my wings weren’t breaded. My mild wings specifically which again had happened at garland before too but man. At least with garland the wings looked and tasted edible. This was trash. Then the Cajun dry rub wings didn’t look like Cajun dry rub and tasted more close to lemon pepper and to make it worse was just buried in a puddle of oil. The fries sweated and were soft because they didn’t add the vent hole but sadly was the closest thing I had that was appetizing. I won’t give this place a one star because I assume they may have better days and I don’t know maybe in a few months I’ll consider giving them a second look and changing this review. But man was...

First I would like to say happy New Year to everyone. This is the day of a new year, and I don't understand how this place get so many five stars or even four star review. Ha- Ha.. I have to keep it honest and this was not good at all! However I had my sister to order us and the family 75 wings with three orders of large fries which came about to 108.00 dollars. We had four different flavors of hot, and one flavor of lemon hot. The lemon hot was so salty we barely can eat it. The four flavors of hot was all tasting the same! One was mild hot, fire hot, and original hot. These Wings Are injected with steroids they were super big that's a no-go for me. I will not be returning here especially by us being from out of town we didn't want to cook for today, we wanted something quick for us and the children this place is horrible. I don't understand how they got this many reviews of good? The food is not good and I'm just keeping it honest being a foodery from Chicago this was not good, but they got $108 for free and also the french fries; we could have did better just peeling potatoes even the kids said they was nasty we fed the kids and they still have chicken on their plates so that goes to show you this is not good too salty..
