Terrible Experience – Disrespectful and Unprofessional Management

I wish I could give this place zero stars. My fiancé and I had an extremely unpleasant experience here due to the rude and condescending behavior of the manager. My fiancé ordered a dish and, after one bite, realized he didn’t like it. We politely asked if it could be taken off the bill since he barely touched it, but we were told the only option was to exchange it while still paying for the full meal. Fair enough—but when I asked to speak with the manager, things took a shocking turn.

From the moment she approached us, her attitude was unnecessarily hostile. Instead of handling the situation professionally, she made an incredibly rude and offensive remark, asking if my fiancé could read and blaming him for not noticing an ingredient in the food description. When I called out her condescending tone and asked if her comment was racially motivated, she doubled down by saying, “We are not racist; we have plenty of Mexicans working for us.”

At that point, the situation escalated further. Rather than de-escalating or acknowledging how inappropriate her comment was, she became aggressive, threatened to call the police, and even brought out another employee to try to pressure us into leaving. The entire ordeal was humiliating, unnecessary, and completely unprofessional.

This was, without a doubt, one of the worst dining experiences we’ve ever had. If you are a person of color, please be cautious before coming here. No one deserves to be treated this way. I highly recommend taking your...

It's an old musty dirty establishment. Food was ok - I just got pancakes. Nothing wrong with the food I got.

Waitress was amazing, friendly, attentive, respectful, carried a conversation with me (and others who seemed to be regulars), just a wonderful person all around!

They have high chairs - a bit on the dirty side and I also had to re-wipe the table down.

Price was fine for my pancakes but I can't speak for the other offerings on the menu.

Many locals inside, all who seemed to know eachother and look forward to being there, they are an older crowd though, so I'm sure a screaming toddler wasn't ideal during my visit there. However those locals were enamored with my young son and made it more comfortable even though he was very loud and cranky!

If I needed pancakes in a pinch I'd go back to get them.

Stopped in for a chicken barb and fries on 8/26/22. Not my first time ordering from here. By the time I got home and went to eat the sandwich the bottom part of the bun was soaked so when I picked it up it fell apart. I ended up giving it to my dog, he enjoyed it... the french fries were good though. Everyone says support your local businesses but the prices have gone up and the quality has gone down. I don't know anyone who wants to eat a sandwich with wet bread. I won't be throwing away my money again. It's not the first time it has happened with take out not just from here but other places. If you want to keep business coming in give the people what they pay for(quality food). We all work hard for our money. Lesson learned I'll be making my own food...
