We found this restaurant-bar hidden on Virginia Key, and we loved it! You find the entrance to The Rosenstiel School full of oceanographers past the Seaquarium. Let the gate attendant know you're heading to restaurant or the bar. You'll find a wide open indoor dining space and bar, an outdoor patio, delicious affordable food and drinks, a fantastic view of Bear Cut on Biscayne Bay, and plenty of seating. We had fresh juicy fried grouper and grilled mahi mahi sandwiches, with smoked fish dip, each under $13! They have a nice selection of microbrews and ciders. A sign announces a wine tasting class, too! It's a bit of a walk from parking to Salt, maybe 400-feet outdoors, and up a few steps. It's worth it for the view and the food! The oceanographers can be fun, too:-) Open for lunch M-F, and for dinner and bar Wed-Fri 5-8pm.

I used this venue for an event an it was amazing. We used the catering there, the staff there was exceptional, the food/menu was great that they provided, and we did the event at sunset which was awesome. The venue also overlooks the water which is a huge plus. It’s also very affordable compared to everything else in miami plus a huge amount of free parking. Aaron, who is the general manager of the venue, is incredibly helpful and really made my event what I wanted it to be.

A hidden gem! Beautiful waterfront and excellent food. There's even a little beach area, which is perfect for distracting small children when You're trying to grab a bite to eat. It's not fancy, but the food is really good and the beer and wine really hit the spot. My favorites are the tuna poke nachos and the green goddess tuna dish. The price is quite low for the quality and location!

I have nothing but great things to say about Aaron Friedman and Salt. I held a Celebration of Life here last weekend and it was all I thought it could be and more. He glass windows were the perfect view of Biscayne Bay. I chose Salt because we did not have to worry about wind, rain, chill, or heat for our guests, yet we had the ambience of the water. It is so clean, and Aaron even included white linen table cloths to the floor

We had finger foods buffet style . Honey comb cheese display , Calamari, grouper bites, brisket, southwester chicken, etc. and had around 225 people. Everyone raved about the food and the venue. Aaron was extremely honest, and worked with us to make it perfect. It would be fabulous for a wedding or a large holiday party . Salt is a...

I had my wedding here in February 2025 and I couldn't have asked for a better venue. My family is local, but my husband and I live in California, so having good communication with the venue and logistics leading up to the wedding were very important to us. Aaron made the whole process easy from the beginning. He even organized a tasting for us a couple months before the wedding when we were in town. The night of the wedding was perfect -- the staff took care of everything from set up to breakdown, and even helped with details. Our ceremony was on the back patio and we fit 100 chairs comfortably. I highly recommend this venue for weddings or any gathering, and we will definitely be back for happy hour when...
