If you go during the week you have a better chance to always find parking. The beach is shallow, which is perfect for sitting in the water and enjoying the sun rays. I've even seen people with their beach chairs in the water. There have been a few instances (if not all) when there has been a lot of seaweed at the edge, but for the most part, it's clean. The seaweed is usually on the edge of the sand and not in the water. Lost of families and very kid friendly. There's an area that is more dogs than others, but it's not an overwhelming amount of dogs. The times I've been there (many times) I've seen maybe 5 dogs at a time. And mostly small dogs.    Read moreHad a lovely day at this beach with our dog, until an irresponsible dog owner came on to the beach with their two dogs that were off leash, and out of control. The dogs were terrorizing EVERYONE.
Multiple people told them to leash their dogs, since all dogs must be on leash at this park (which 99% of people were following). About 15 minutes after they arrived, one of their dogs attacked another on leash dog to the point where someone had to strangle the dog to get it off. Then the owners of the off leash dogs started a PHYSICAL FIGHT with the very upset owners of the dog that was attacked.
