Sips and Such Social House may not seem special from the exterior (located as a corner store of a strip of shops next to a busy road) it definitely is serving up some very tastefully special dishes with a creative flare. I visited them for early lunch on a weekday. Upon entering I was quickly seated at one of they cozy booths. The interior has some long tables for larger parties, and high tops as well. The interior is pleasantly decorated. The wait staff were quick to tend to me. Their menu is extensive, ranging from breakfast items, flatbreads, sandwiches, salads, fries, chicken wings, wraps, etc.. Their drinks menu includes teas (iced / hot / specialty blends ), coffee, and alcoholic cocktails. Something for everyone.
I started with an order of Deviled Egg Toast (sourdough toast with avocado, deviled egg salad and paprika). This is a very creative twist and combination of egg salad and avocado toast. The deliver egg salad was slightly toasted / baked which made it stay atop the each piece of the toast making each bite tastefully satisfying. The salad tasted just like mashed deviled eggs and the combination of avocado slices added an extra creamy taste to it. The sourdough bread added the body and complementary and crunch. This was a perfect starter dish.
My main dish was the Mac & Que - cheesy pasta shells topped with sweet and tangy pulled bbq pork and a side of corn bread. This dish is just as comforting to the eye as it is to the taste buds. The combination of bbq pulled port with the perfectly creamy pasta shells made each bite feel like perfectly comforting blanket on a cold morning (only for the taste buds). I couldn't stop eating this dish, though I had to as the portion size if fit to two people. Maybe Sip and Such stole the secret recipe from grandma's famous family recipe book for this one.
Its very clean why Sips and Such Social house is winning over so many peoples' hearts and taste buds. They seem to have gotten their formula of tasty food and lengthy menu for diverse people, dialed in just right. I hope they can continue to maintain the high quality of tasty food amongst the last number of menu items. I will most certainly return to try some of the many other items, next time I'm...
Read moreTried this coffee shop out for the first time. It's really a coffee shop and restaurant. You walk in and it looks more like a restaurant and then you walk all the way to the back if you want just coffee. I purchased an espresso macchiato. Which is basically a shot of espresso with a little bit of foam on top. It was delicious. The photo presentation doesn't give it justice really and that's because it's an espresso macchiato. Had I gotten a Cortado or something like that maybe the photo would be prettier. The flavors perfect.
The atmosphere here is very pleasant, relaxing, and warm. It appears to be a very relaxed social environment. The employees are helpful, friendly, and smiling. They had a wall with photos saying never forget where you came from. I like that. It tells you a little bit about the owner.
While I was here I had to use the bathroom. There was someone in it and while I was waiting a very nice gentleman who is cleaning the men's bathroom came out and told me he was refilling the soap in the hand dispensers and if I noticed that the ladies needed any soap to please let him know. He was so friendly and inviting. Many times I feel like when people have to do that kind of work they aren't that happy about it but this gentleman was very happy and friendly. The warmth of The people in this what they call social house is beautiful.
I will be back.
One thing I wanted to mention was hopefully they charged me incorrectly but I paid $5.02 for an espresso macchiato. Which is basically what I got was A shot of espresso with a very tiny bit of foam almond milk on top. Typically I pay anywhere from two dollars to $2.50 for this drink. I didn't realize until I got home and saw my credit card charge. If that's the real price I wouldn't go back for that price. I think they charge me for a regular macchiato large drink with...
Read moreLooking for something different when i was out by the airport. I yelled hey sir breakfast near me and the only choices she provided was Sip and Such Social House. Not sure if it was because it was brunch time or she knew something I didn't. I took her suggestion. Pulled into the parking lot and it was full. Thinking that the wait would be to long I started eyeing a place next door. I manned up and head into the Social club. Upon entering I was greeted by a friendly young man. He sat me at what I would call a community table. It's a table for large groups but the will seat multiple small parties there. Since I was a single person it was the best places to be sat. Think of it as a being be placed at a counter at your favorite diner. My waitress appeared quickly to take my drink order. It's cross between a coffee shop and cocktail lounge. You can order anything from a coffee, latte, mimosa, or a cocktail. My choice was one of the specials. The orange creamsicle mimosa. It was better than what I thought. It wasn't extremely sweet but had the creamsicle taste. For brunch I ordered the bourbon maple French toast, pork sausage, and home-fries. After the mimosa I ordered a hot banana foster latte. It was phenomenal the taste of banana foster in ever sip. Next time I'm going to order it cold. Nice summer sipper. My waitress showed up with my meal. The portions are a nice size. They truthfully are shareable and you can spend more time sipping cocktails and coffee. This place is perfect any party size. From sitting their solo to large groups. It's friendly and cozy. The atmosphere made me want to invite others to catch up. If you are looking for a great place to catch up with friends and family and not feeling the bar. This is your place. It has something for everyone. You won't be...
