Excellent! Now that I have your attention. Let me tell you about this little gem in Middlebury VT. The parking lot is free, and easy to pull in and out of. There is indoor and outdoor seating. About a dozen or so tables inside, and a couple picnic tables out front on the grass. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Emma ( i hope i spelled it right) was the best! Great smile and very friendly. The food was amazing. I had the Salty bird (pesto mayo). They have several homemade mayos to choose from. I also had the 7 south burger with VT cheddar. They were both delicious. The burger was seasoned well and the bun was perfect. The Salty Pesto sandwich was out of this world. The bread was toasted, the ingredients were fresh, and that homemade pesto mayo hit the spot. I'll definitely be returning when I'm in the Middlebury area. If I had one suggestion it would be to get some bar seating in the wating area. Maybe that spot by the glass that faces the road. A few stools and a bar top would be great for singles and couples to sit....
Read moreAllow me to introduce you to the newest player on the Middlebury sandwich scene, the 7 South Sandwich Company. They've been open a little over a month now and let me tell you they are cranking out some mighty fine sandwiches. The shop itself is small and simple, very bright and has a few tables to sit and eat on the premises. The staff is great, friendly and helpful. The menu is posted on a chalkboard and they offer a daily sandwich special and a soup du jour. They also do breakfast sandwiches. They have gluten free options if that's an issue. I had the Philly Cheesesteak and absolutely loved it. In my opinion this is the best cheesesteak sandwich in Middlebury but don't take my word for it, go and check it out for yourself and make up your own mind. You'll be glad you did. Looking forward to trying the other...
Read moreWent there this morning for a breakfast burrito that they advertise as $6.50 that they advertise for three eggs, cheese and 4 veggies. I got eggs, cheese, and mushrooms and onions.
Was excited to find this place only to have my excitement turn to an angry sadness.
After them making it they charged me over $8.50 for the burrito and I had already put in around $10 into their tip jar cause I was extremely happy to find poutine.
Sad to say, even though this place has my two favorite things... breakfast burritos and poutine... I will not be returning to try the poutine or ever again!
They have lost a new customer who would have come in daily over doing this!
Would now NEVER recommend this place over...
