Bamboo Garden Chinese Take Away — Restaurant in Middlebury

This was the first time I had been at this restaurant. I ordered take out while on my lunch. I had the House Fried Rice and 2 eggrolls. I normally do not leave bad reviews, however today the food was so bad, I just couldn't not. The only thing that I was sure I was eating in the rice was the rice, carrots and shrimp. It barely had any flavor, but it did smell good. However, when bit into what I thought was pork, it was a fatty piece of something and after doing this a couple times, I spit it out. It was also supposed to have chicken in it, but what I saw was a white piece of something, and then some white strips of something that I wasn't sure what it was, so I didn't even attempt eating it. I choked down about 1/8 of the rice, ate the shrimp and threw everything else away. Shrimp is shrimp, you can't screw that up. So, to get this out of the way this place is not a buffet it is a Chinese takeout restaurant. If you plan on eating inside, just know that no smoking is allowed.

That being said those points don't factor into my review; the food does.

Long story short, this is one of the best Chinese food places I've ever been to. Not only is your order made in a reasonable amount of time, but almost everything that I've ordered from here has been really good with the exception of the hot and spicy chicken. Hands down the number one thing I'd recommend and my favorite item on the menu here are the crab rangoons.

The only thing I would have to criticize about the place is that it is a little bit on the pricey side. That is however just my opinion.

this restaurant is amazing they have hand made Dumplings or some people call them Goya. they are so wonderful. the Dumpling wrappers are a little thicker then some that I have had, but the taste was wonderful and the filling is big meaty with a lot of flavor. the dipping sauce has a lot of flavor and is not just soy sauce it has so much more in it. I really enjoyed it. The hot and sour soup was some of the best I have had in a while. It has a very nice flavor and the heat level was nice no to hot / spicy but it was a little bit spicy. everyone we had dinner with us said that there food was amazing. if I lived near here I would eat at this restaurant very often. it would most likely be my favorite...
