Pizza Hut — Restaurant in Middlebury

This pizza hut location is horrible. This is my 3rd bad experience in less than 1 year. Our food is always WAY over cooked, and when I say something about it the staff says "It will just come out the same way if we remake it because our ovens overcook food". If you know your ovens are overcooking food, then you need to be mentioning it to the manager/owners. They are also snippy when something is wrong, they NEVER answer their phones, and multiple times when I have walked in for a pick up order the place smells like an ashtray; they MUST be smoking cigarettes inside the building. We will just not be returning; we would rather drive 30 whole minutes to the Goshen location instead of 5 minutes up the road because the experiences are...

Poor service, low quality in both service and food. When I complained they'd refund or replace my order but only after much arguing and now, due to the numerous amounts of complaints, won't even do that. They think the issue is with the customer, not the store despite video and photographic evidence to the contrary. The poor service ranges from the hourly staff, to the manager even to the GM. I wouldn't recommend this place to a starving person that's how bad it is. Corporate office has you email a complaint and then has the local store get back to you within 3 days. Tonight was the worst night to get pizza from this location. As soon as I walked in I could tell the staff was uneasy. I got there to pick up my food before it was ready and watched the cook put the pizza in the box and missed. Then proceeded to use bare hands to adjust the slices to fit in the box with no gloves. I said something to the person running the register and they said, "that's the way it's done", and proceeded to forget I even existed after I got my food, after I left a $5 tip on a $20 order. Horrible service, and I hope they get reported to the the health department. Will not return, we will take the extra time and miles to get our pizzas...
