Slow Burn Cigar & Whiskey Lounge — Restaurant in Middlebury

Absolutely a new Middlebury staple and a one of a kind experience in the area. They’ve just about got it all here. Being right next to the golf course, this place is also a great stop after playing a few rounds. My first experience here was great. The atmosphere is fantastic and the staff are knowledgeable. Here are my favorite and a few noteworthy things: Cigars. There’s an amazing assortment of cigars. You can purchase by the box or by the smoke. Lockers to rent and store your smokes. Very convenient if you want to be a regular here. The lockers are inside of the humidor. You also get some bonuses for renting a locker. Drink selection is phenomenal. There are so many thoughtfully chosen spirits to choose from. The pairing options between cigars and spirits are almost limitless. They also have a selection of crafted cocktails and virgin drinks to choose from if hard liquor isn’t your thing. Private space. There’s space for renting out if you wish to have a private event. Atmosphere. Lots of detail went into putting this place together and it shows. Food - no food available here. However, you are welcome to bring your own which is great.

Finally! A cigar lounge that's only a 20 minute drive from me! I've quite literally been waiting for this moment for a long time. The closest other cigar lounges are a good 45 minutes away if not 50, so it's not a simple trip to enjoy a cigar. Now I can just hop on my motorcycle and zip over. I've been there twice already since opening last weekend and it is truly great. The atmosphere is wonderful with tall ceilings, lots of natural lighting, comfy seats, and a big open feel. The cigar selection is a little limited since they just opened but what they currently have is top notch already - I would try the Cao 660 flat head if you're into full body full strength cigars - trust me it's GREAT (NOT for the faint of heart or new cigar enjoyers!). Their whiskey selection is extensive as well. I was very happy to see some nice Scotch whiskeys up there. Yesterday I brought in my laptop and was working there while enjoying a nice Ashton cigar and I was definitely in my element. Went there a few days after they opened. Absolutely loved the atmosphere. The owners are great people. Bartender was very nice and great at her job, made amazing old fashioned cocktails. Which i highly recommend trying their old fashion. Great selection if cigars. The ventilation system did an excellent job keeping the air clean. Beautiful interior amazing people.
