I have actually been to this taco truck many times. But the food is not consistent, some times its excellent, sometimes its just OK, sometimes its all bad (mushy rice, no flavored beans, dry meat with no seasoning, etc.) Me personally I love Salsa and peppers. This place makes you feel bad for asking for salsa or peppers they look at you like your crazy. Like "why would this person possibly need salsa for a burrito???" Today I told the kid at the window I wanted extra salsa and peppers with my burrito,( I was willing to pay extra) he said OK. When I got my burrito it had no peppers or salsa. The burrito did not have any sauce. I usually need 2 or 3 ( 2 ounce containers). I went back to the window and said " can I please have some salsa and peppers" the kid said OK and handed me one small container of salsa (no peppers). At this point im hungry, kind of angry, and just like whatever. The guy on the grill who im pretty sure is the owner, looked back and said something under his breath. This small container of salsa was gone with in the first few bites. I had to go buy a bottle of hot sauce to finish my burrito because it was very dry with no sauce. The same guy who I think is the owner is always in a bad mood and very rude. Like I said I have been going there since I have moved to lake county, and i have never seen this guy smile. Or even be friendly what so ever. Unless you are a female, and then he smiles and stares super creepy like. I really wish they could not be so rude, especially to paying customers who appreciate there service. If people want salsa..... you are a Mexican food truck, you should not take it personal like you are asking for a kidney or a blood transfusion. I can see in the owners eyes he is done making food, and probably should get a new job or business. Not trying to be rude, but when he started making me feel bad for asking for something that should automatically come with your food, it kind of pissed me off. I hope the owner reads this and changes his attitude. And quits being so skimpy with...
Read morePassed this taco truck on the way to the hot spring. While soaking we were trying to decide what to eat, we remembered about this close taco truck. I’m glad we stopped here. The prices are very fair and the food is great. The chef seems so hard working and he’s a hard working guy. I was talking to them for a bit while waiting for the food about traveling and whatnot.
There’s no tables to sit on, but I sat on the stones in front of the gas prices sign. They’ll give you napkins and forks if needed. It was a great stop before we headed to the airport. We’ll come back next time we hit up the...
Read moreI used to really like this place for months, but they’ve started blatantly ignoring my request for an extra-toasted tortilla on the tacos I order regularly. Today was the last straw—I won’t be coming back. I’ve always been polite when making this simple request and often order from the same staff, so they should be aware by now. My orders aren’t large, so they may not notice my absence, but I feel disrespected and have been disappointed multiple times. I’ve even let it slide on occasions when I was short on time, but...
