Alright, let's talk about Cottage Creamery. If you're out biking the rail trail and desperately need a scoop, its spot is truly golden – like finding a gas station in the middle of nowhere when your tank's on E. That, my friends, is pretty much where the positives end.

Here's the scoop (pun intended) on the ice cream itself: It's not homemade, despite them selling a wholesale brand actually named "Homemade" (which, yes, is hilariously misleading). And trust me, this isn't even one of the good wholesale brands. I've had plenty of genuinely tasty wholesale ice cream at other shops, but this isn't it. It honestly just feels like they're going for the highest possible profit margin on a subpar product.

Seriously, save your money. You'd be better off grabbing a tub from the grocery store. Hudsonville, for example, is legitimately better. So, if you find yourself craving a cone near the rail trail, maybe just hold out until you hit a grocery...

I was very disappointed! I have 2 kiddos with food allergies and I wanted to take them out for ice cream and being very careful I read all the ingredients to these ice creams making sure my kiddos would be safe..there were 2 kinds my son could have safely! My youngest son was very sick afterwards! I talked to a worker finding out they dont wash the scoops in between ice cream. He apologized and to a point I understood but still thought that was kinda gross. He told me next time to give them the heads up on the allergy and they would wash or use a new scoop. We tried again and yet again my son was sick, this time I warned about the allergy. It was a different worker and she told me it would be better for my son not to eat there because they can't wash scoops when they are busy! I wanted to give my kids the experience of getting ice cream and both times my youngest walked away sick! We...

A wonderful experience. The ice cream was delicious. The peach ice cream has little pieces of peach in the balanced and refreshing ice cream with large pieces of peach slices as a welcomed surprise as well. A wonderful summer treat. The peanut butter cookie dough is definitely for peanut butter lovers and has a mouth watering roasted peanut flavor to the ice cream itself with slivered chocolate chip pieces and cookie dough bites. The ice cream is not too salty and not too sweet. A great balance and the ice cream itself is flavorful and a delight. I have tried some other places and they are only good if you have a lot of mix-ins but this one pays attention to the flavor of the ice cream as well as the mix-ins and it is absolutely appreciated.
