Gimmicks For Food & Fun — Restaurant in Midland

I went to Gimmicks/ Valley Plaza on 2/29/2020 with a group of 10. While waiting for lanes to be available, we waited in the bar area. We asked if we could have the large table cleaned off so we weren’t taking every seat at the bar. We waited 20-30 mins for the table to be cleaned, however we didn’t see anyone heading over to the table. We ended up moving the other guests plates and beer bottles to the end of the table hoping someone would come and grab them and take our order as many of us had the plan of getting dinner. After another 20-30 mins of waiting for a server, my friend went and asked if someone could help us. The server only rolled her eyes at my friend. About 10 mins after this, another server came out and became angry with us for sitting and grabbed some of the dishes and then didn’t come back. A little later the manager came out and asked what we wanted, though it seemed fairly obvious that we wanted served, she wasn’t very apologetic and seemed unhappy that we only wanted them to do their jobs. We finally received service after this, but I was disappointed in how unprofessional this business was being run. I have worked in customer service for 4 years and can’t imagine treating a guest like this, knowing that things can become extremely stressful. I took my grandsons here tonight (13, 6, 3 y/o) for pizza and bowling. New to the area and never having been here, upon arriving I asked a server where I could order pizza. She told us to wait by the pinball machines, that she would be back to take our order and the menu would be on the table. It was. I didn't know how to work the pinball payment method. So the children and I waited 15 minutes with no one coming to take our order.

I and 3 grandson's walked back over to the front desk and I explained that I was looking to order pizza and play the machines. She said if I got a bowling lane, the server would come by and take my order. That was fine as we were there to bowl also. So I paid for the lane and we bowled but no one ever came to take our order. After 1 game we returned our bowling shoes and the same counter girl wouldn't even look me in the eye, clearly not wanting to acknowledge our presence.

While my intent was to take the grandkids for bowling, pizza dinner, and games, we left after 1 game and spent no other money there.

First got here around 10pm on a Friday night, got to seat ourselves. Cool. A server greeted us fairly quickly, to give us water and tell us that he wasn’t our server but he wasn’t sure where our server was lol. After about 7-10 minutes, our server shows up. Says that no one told him he had a table. Apologizes and takes our order. Brings appetizer out with the wrong sauce. Okay, no big deal. We place our order, I order a medium cooked burger...the server proceeds to ask me if well done is okay, and then tells us that the kitchen staff would flip him off if he asked for my burger to be cooked medium. Odd. Found hair in ranch sauce for appetizer. He replaces it by grabbing the sauce off our plate and in the process, touches our food. Service over all was slow and sub par. Server could definetly use some education and server etiquette. Delightful person just not a great server. Lol Food was ehh,...
