La Carreta Loncheria — Restaurant in Midland

Guy with grey hair and beard must have been owner, but as I’m looking at menu I asked what came on combination plate and instead of just telling me he said it’s up there on menu and me without my reading glasses squinted and postured to overlook menu as I am doing this he starts kinda dance back and forth as to hurry me up with no one behind me. Anyway— Food was good but dining area was hot. The lady that brought the food and chips was great. They only give you 12 chips as you can see in picture. The salsa was just blended jalapeños, not very flavorful. Dining area was clean and didn’t see any flys which is big in this part of west Texas And lastly they only take cash, which means they don’t report all transactions cause nowadays credit card fees are passed...

The guy at the counter is a troll (un gnomo) and extremely uninviting. Upon ordering I was told I couldn’t order barbacoa burritos with pico and eggs together cause it might make me sick and acted like it was an impossible order. Then when I asked why it would make me sick, I was given the answer of well a lot people get sick and it’s not my fault and kept reminding me of it while I was trying to understand. If I could give 0 starts to this location I WOULD. The waiters were nice but the old man in the front makes me not EVER want to return to this place. He has the ugliest attitude ever.I had never had an issue at ANY restaurant over ordering for my husband and my self. After the fact still continued to make comments under his breath. If he is the owner, you should know how to work in CUSTOMER SERVICE and if you don't like your job or cashiering/taking orders maybe take yourself to the back and let your NICE STAFF HANDLE IT because YOU SIR ARE...
