Star Lite Saloon — Restaurant in Midland

Bartenders were rude and not very helpful. I have only been to this place a handful of times years ago, but really enjoyed myself back then. I have tried to go a few times lately and it has changed A LOT. Most recently I went with a friend who was at odds with another patron who, along with the bartender, decided we would not be acknowledged much less served so after about 10 minutes of standing at the bar waiting our turn that never came, we left. (Let me clarify - by, "waiting our turn" I mean waiting for the bartender to get behind the bar from sitting in a chair at a table being loud and unprofessional with friends. Not the usual wait in a bar for other patrons being served ) The raffle slot machines are the only real draw - if you can get past the pool sticks constantly invading your personal space while you play! (Rudy's Sports Bar on Ave A @ Lamesa is WAY better for the slot play.) The great karaoke guy left and the new one is less than entertaining. They do have free nachos and popcorn and I have heard that the "bad" bartenders are all gone - so I will give it another try, but overall my most recent visits have been a TOTAL...

So… I tried to call ahead of time to ask about drink prices and the number they have on google maps and yelp is different from the number on Apple Maps and Facebook. One number is disconnected and the other was a woman’s personal cell phone number. This place is walking distance from my hotel so and I don’t drink often but I definitely prefer a dive to some border-line club type bar, so it seemed like the perfect option, but this takes hole-in-wall to a whole new level.
