Wonder Bar & Grille - Milan, OH — Restaurant in Milan Township

We go there every now and again. I always get the taco salad because I am allergic to garlic and it is a safe bet. We went there yesterday and they now give you doritos instead of chips with it. They never said they changed it. When they brought it out i told the waitress that I can't eat that and she argued that doritos do not have garlic in and that they have always only had doritos. I told her no a few months ago they had tortilla chips. Finally she said well we don't have anymore. So she took it back. She told them about it and then told them SHE would eat the taco salad. She came out again saying the taco meat had garlic in so obviously I wasn't allergic to garlic. I told her the meat wasn't even the same meat that they used before. She then said well every thing here has garlic in. So I ended up getting a grilled chicken salad with no seasonings. She yells from across the bar asking what kind of dressing I went and saying salad right not a sandwich? By now I am getting mad because she just announced that I have an allergy. Everyone is staring at me because she is yelling from behind the bar to our table. By now my husband is done eating. I finally getting my food which was really good. I finish eating we get the bill and the taco salad is on it. So we had to pay for the food...

Ate here on 6.22 greeted upon walking in, got drinks quickly, 2 sodas. Our waitress took our orders, I asked what the specials were, she had to look at the board, letting us know this was her first day on the job and she was new. Waitress took our order, started w/the pretzels, and I got the special burger black and blue which came with onion, blue cheese, lettuce, tomato. I ordered mine no lettuce add mushrooms. BF ordered the Perch dinner.

Pretzels- perfect, they were the best thing we got, kinda hard to mess these up

Fries are good again, kinda hard to mess fries up but it can be done

B&B Burger- came out with lettuce, no onion, and the tiniest bit of blue cheese, I took the lettuce off and accepted the no onion...when I told the waitress she said you ordered no onion and I said no I ordered it w/o lettuce. I was never brought any onion.

Perch dinner- all was eaten so I guess it was good...

We got our bill and I didn't think or ask but we were charged for 4 sodas, we both had 1 with a refill 1 refill was requested the other was not, are there not free refills or was this just another data entry mistake on the "new" waitress? Not sure, it'll be awhile till we...

In town for work, as most know I travel 200+ days a year. Thie Wonder Bar is awesome! Period! A great find in a small town, the service was great food, really only 4 stars, since the bread on my patty melt was burnt, I didn't complain and it tasted great. Beer was cold, a tad weak in the bourbon department but decent. My buddies meal was great. Our server was joyful, and the live music was first-rate. All in all, it is a great way to end a day after about 16 hours of air travel The town square was small town America to the core, I lived the life-size nativity, the band stand, and the honoring of our vets. This is America at its best. Update went next day lunch.....waited a full 10 minutes and no one even acknowledged me....I left. The first time was the same but an older waitress came over and saved it! Second time....well if your not a local your...
