When arriving at Bangkok Room, be mindful that you have to park on the street, but it is well worth the inconvenience. Since it is not too far from the water, it can be a little drafty in the colder months, especially because most of the seating is by windows, if not outdoors.
The waitress was friendly and attentive, making sure to answer any of our questions and that all guests in the restaurant were satisfied. While dining, it became evident that this is a local favorite for takeout as most customers were picking up food rather than dining in.
The food itself was generously portioned for the price, delicious, and the spice levels were customizable to an individual's preference. Two things to take note of would be if you have sensitivities to coconut, as that allergen is not consistently denoted on the menu, and if you add meat to a dish, expect an additional charge. While all of the food was phenomenal, the Kui Chai (vegetable pancake) was a particular favorite as it was reminiscent of Chinese Dim Sum. If we were to go back, we would probably order several appetizers instead of a full meal as the appetizers were more filling than we thought they would be and pleasantly different from other places we have visited...
Read moreTHE 👌place to go for elevated Thai cuisine in Milford. They have an impressive & diverse menu consisting of perfectly executed dishes from central, south and northeast Thailand. It’s not your standard take out spot, despite how much business they do via phone orders. This is fancy Thai cooking with a cozy, casual, neighborhood feel. Reservations recommended for larger groups. Servers were knowledgeable and able to provide recommendations and substitutions. Bonus-It’s BYOB, so you can eat and drink generously without breaking the bank.
Sampler platter was a great way to experience multiple apps. Papaya salad was tart & crunchy. Larb was generously sized and a refreshing palate cleanse before main courses. Pad Thai was glossy, springy & evenly seasoned (no stuck together noodles). Fish Choo Chee special was an entire fried fish served with vegetables in a sweet & mildly spicy curry. It’s large enough to share with an additional order of rice, but also available in filet for s smaller portion. Husband polished his crispy spicy duck Ga Prow with an additional side of sticky coconut rice. For dessert, I highly recommend the mango sticky...
Read moreI've had Bangkok Room at least a handful of times in the last year, and every single time it's been excellent. I used to not be a big fan of Thai food, but this place has converted me.
Their drunken noodle with chicken is very very flavorful with a little spice (this could be more than some people like). The noodles and chicken are certainly not dry like some drunken noodles that I've had. The fried pork dumplings are very good as well, with a very crispy shell and soft flavorful pork inside. My wife enjoyed the Thai iced tea as a drink.
I've ordered both take out and eaten at the restaurant, the food is always PIPING hot and is clearly made fresh to order. Their entree portions are generous both take out and in restaurant.
The inside of the restaurant is pretty small, but the outside has seating on a wrap around deck with some nice ambiance as it's right near the water.
Overall I'd definitely give Bangkok Room a strong recommendation for anyone who is looking for Thai food in the area. They...
