This past Thursday, I wrote EasySpeak a 5-star review because the service we received was phenomenal. Our food was great and the waitress, who we donāt have the name of, was very attentive. My family and I came again three days later, Sunday, 8/13, with high hopes of the service and the quality of food to be consistent with our previous experience. Unfortunately, it was not. When we walked in, there were no staff members there to greet us, and when we were told to seat ourselves, we only had a select amount of tables to choose from that were clean. Many of the tables hadnāt been bussed and we could visibly see the crumbs on the tables due to them not being wiped down. The tables weren't wiped down through the entirety of our dinner. It felt unsanitary sitting in there surrounded by this mess. After waiting 10 minutes for our server to greet us with water, we ordered the traditional fries as our appetizer. Our appetizer came out concurrent with one of our entrees, and the fries were inedible due to them being burnt. We eventually got our waitressā attention and sent the fries back, and we received a new batch that was comped. We ordered the nachos and paid an additional $4 for steak that was barely even there. On top of that, the nachos didnāt come with the sour cream or jalapenos that were listed on the menu. All of our entrees came out at different times, and meanwhile our waitress, Karen, was very unattentive. She did not introduce herself and she never came to check on us after we received our food. She was hiding in the kitchen after she delivered the food. The only reason we know her name is because the bartender came over to check on us after we finished our food and told us that he was checking on us for her. We ended up sitting there for another 15 minutes, and she was still nowhere in sight. We had to walk up to the bar to ask the bartender to give us the check. He politely cashed us out, and Karen still hadnāt come to check up on us. We left right after we paid, so she didnāt care to see us leave dissatisfied. Keep in mind, there was only one other table that Karen had, and there were a couple of people seated at the bar. It seemed to be that they were understaffed due to only seeing two cooks, our waitress, and the bartender. We ordered the belgian waffle with bananas and the french toast brioche bake and bacon and eggs(wet with cheese). My girlfriend went to pick it up since I just had spine surgery and when she got home I was shocked at how terrible this meal turned out to be, marissa(the manager) also didnt say the total on the phone but come to find out the eggs and bacon was 8.00 but whatever if it was good. The bacon was literally black and inedible and the eggs were dryer than the sahara. And the brioche french toast turned out to be a french toast muffin with a scorched top and chewy center. My girlfriend's waffle was undercooked and soggy, overall just one of the worst meals I've ever experienced, when I called and asked for the manager marissa said I had to come in to get a refund(even though I had spine surgery) but I didnt need to bring the food, but I brought it anyways to show her what their kitchen put out as acceptable. Once I arrived no one greeted me or said someone would be with me, the staff is definitely not trained to greet or be friendly in any way, I stood by the door for several minutes until marissa showed up and told me she could refund my meal with her tablet I asked her if she needed my card to which she said no.(I could have just stayed home and gotten a refund!)when I went to show marissa the food and why I was unhappy she was very uninterested and said she was "doing me a favor" as they dont usually let people order bacon and eggs? I usually give places a second and even third chance but easy speaks management obviously doesnt care about quality or the customer which is truly sad. If you're wondering about whether or not to try this place theres so many other places that will care about you and your food, dont make the same mistake I did!
Update january 3rd 2020: after posting this review the owner posted a response with more belittling statements and lies to cover a bad service. And now her brother justin Johnson is sending threats of violence on facebook...

When I arrived to pick up, not one employee acknowledged me or asked if I needed help (there were THREE bartenders working at the time). After waiting over 40 minutes for my food, I was given attitude by the young bartender after I told her I was upset about the wait. She gave me the excuse that it wasn't her fault and proceeded to call me "hun" multiple times - this is EXTREMELY condescending!!!
Drinks were watered down. Pizza was nothing to write home about. Smoked chicken quesadilla with carmelized onions was fantastic but I'll make my own quesadilla next time instead of driving 30 minutes away to spend $50+ and receive horrible customer service.
edited to respond to manager - I'm well aware that we're in the middle of a pandemic (as you have so rudely said the same thing to multiple other reviews on Google), but that doesn't excuse the fact that your waitstaff was rude and unapologetic. I've patronized many other local, small businesses during the pandemic in order to help keep them afloat, and this is the first establishment hat has actually made me upset upon leaving. It would be in your business' best interest if you taught your employees to be a little more polite. I didn't want to wait around to speak with the manager, as I had already been waiting 40 minutes for my food and still had a 30 minute drive home.
As someone who worked in customer service for many years, the fact that your waitstaff doesn't even acknowledge customers when they come into the establishment is embarrassing (it happened to me, and two other patrons that entered after me) - it doesn't take much for someone to say "Hey welcome to easyspeak we'll be with you in a moment". Be kind to your customers, and stop replying arrogantly to them on Google reviews. It make you and your establishment...
