The Greek Spot Cafe & Grill — Restaurant in Milford

This place probably is highly rated because it's a tourist spot and they have signs everywhere about social media and "leave a review' -- My girlfriend and walk up to look at the menu before ordering. She asks if it's okay to use the bathroom before ordering, one woman says yes. 5 feet away she gets rudely asked if she's going to buy anything because the bathroom is for customers only. A red flag that the customer service was going to be horrible. We order and sit outside. Our food comes out in less than 5 minutes. No silverware with it. I go back up to the counter for silverware and I interrupted the cashier who was face-timing with someone on her phone on the counter. The pork and the spinach pie were clearly pre made and reheated. Then I ate a piece of pork....... It was dry and SOUR! Not just a little sour. I started chewing and I had to spit it out, it was that far gone. I had a couple grape leaves and they were pretty good and fresh. Then the next one I bit into was very firm and again tasted old and completely different. I hate complaining at restaurants but I really didn't want them to serve that pork to anyone else. The woman gave zero attempt to make things right, only said "ok" and walked back in the kitchen so I couldn't see her. I'm so sorry I chose to eat here. We love Greek Spot Cafe for its authentic Greek cuisine! Dining alfresco, surrounded by authentic decor and views of the stunning Milford sandy beach, creates a soothing ambiance reminiscent of Mykonos or another picturesque Greek island. The food is truly authentic, with a wide selection available, and the staff are consistently warm and welcoming, making every visit feel like a mini-vacation to Greece.

However, I do have two minor points to mention. Firstly, the takeout pricing feels a bit steep, and the portions aren't quite large enough to comfortably extend over multiple meals. With higher prices come higher expectations. Additionally, while the unbeatable location and scenic setup greatly enhance the dining experience at the restaurant, these factors don’t quite carry over to takeout. At home, the presentation of the food appeared somewhat lackluster, predominantly brown and missing the vibrant colors one associates with Greek cuisine. Perhaps adding bursts of color with a fresh salad would have changed the appearance, but without that, the main courses alone looked a bit dull.

Yet, this is for sure a great place...

Just wanted to update my review for today June 11 .

The food at the Greek Spot is always spectacular and impressive. However, today they outdid themselves with the most amazing, cooked to perfection lamb chops, astounding, Santorini salad, all inspiring baklava, stupendous fresh beets, and just unbelievably magnificent flavors that made my taste buds sing from every morsel of food. I really believe that each bite was the best I have ever had in my life. Thank you Leo!

The weather today was spectacular! We wanted a breathtaking view and magnificent food for lunch.

The Greek Spot was the perfect place in Milford for an impressive lunch. Today we ordered cilantro feta fries, lamb chops, a hamburger, and a side order of their fresh pickled beets.

The food was phenomenal and the view was incredible. The restaurant was clean and the service was good. The only thing missing was our friend Leo. Looking forward to seeing him soon and thanking him for all of his hard work at making the Greek Spot the place to go for...
