Super Duper Burgers — Restaurant in Mill Valley

I've been going to this Super Duper since it opened and it's actually improved. The quality, service, speed, and menu has all gotten better - it certainly is well managed.

I like everything here and for a burger place, the menu is quite wide. The burgers are excellent. The chicken sandwich is my personal favorite. The veggie burgers are excellent too. A nice touch is the ability to get any of the above with a "lettuce bun" instead of bread.

The outside patio area is nice and the building is an old Jack in the Box but completely upgraded. The only downside is that it's very loud inside even when half full. Lastly, as noted, they've considerably improved they're drive through speed. It really was a disaster for the first year but now, it's quite speedy.

P.S. - whether it's a negative or not, it's certainly not a value burger place. You'll be out $33 to feed 3 people. In and Out is about half that for the same but clearly not in the...

2021 : Went out for a late night treat, a soft-serv cone! YUMM!!! As with everything they serve, delicious! I wish I grabbed a photo of the cone before consuming it, but priorities rule. 🍦

Update 2023: Still good, although my tastes have adjusted some and while it does satisfy my burger/fries craving... it is quite rich, greasy and indulgent. Also, quite expensive for a burger place that used to be Jack in the Box. The drive thru is super slow and a waste of time in my opinion. (Probably used mostly by stoners that don't want to or can't get out of the car.)

There are other better options out there, but not many where you can order a beer too.

Overall, I'm sorry to present such a mixed review. Note, the grey paint feels cold, and the place has no soul. Sad lonely and echoey inside. Not a cool place to go, but it's nearby and convenient. Certainly not a bad choice if...

Wife had a better experience here than I. She raved and raved. She got a single with cheese and I opted for a double with cheese. I don't know if they just didn't let the meat drain for a second or what but mine was a greasy mess. Way too wet. The bun was nigh soggy with grease. Wife said her burger was perfect, no sogginess. Also, they use red onion as their raw or grilled onion (we opted for grilled). Not my favorite onion. Meat itself was great quality, no compliant there.

Have the option of getting garlic cheese fries. We opted for just cheese fries, no garlic. Cheese is claimed to be aged which we thought would mean sharp and flavorful but was really neither nor was it really melted on the fries. Would pass next time on cheese though the fries themselves were good. Splitting the difference between disliking and liking they get an ok. I'd give them...
