I called July 10th to see if they could accommodate 18 girls for a Bachelorette party. I was told yes that would not be a problem but that we would have to sit inside. Tyler the manager told me that he would be there on August 7th the day of the Bachelorette party and to call and remind him, first red flag. So August 7th came around and that morning I called. Only to find out that Tyler was not there and that the person who was there had no idea we were coming, second and third red flags. I ask the gentleman that I spoke with the day of the event if he would be able to accommodate an 18 person table and was told yes. I told him we were going to arrive at 130 and said thank you. We arrived and there was no table put together. I said I called and asked to have a table ready and basically was blown off. I ended up putting the table together in the end. No apology or anything. I was completely embarrassed as I was the one to call all the stops and make sure everything was OK for the day of the party. Then I called to talk to a manager, and guess who it was, Tyler. He did apologize for not being staffed and was asked what he should have done. I told him if you knew a party was coming in and you were short staffed as a manager you should have gone in. Then he asked me what the point of this call was, nice management skills. All in all will not be returning or going to the other location. If you are planning a get-together I would strongly suggest not having it here. It's a bunch of excuses...
Read moreService: 0 Beer: 0 Ambiance: 0 I have never done a majorly negative yelp, but you all need to know about this. We were visiting Erie and were so excited to visit the top-rated local brewery on Father's Day. Things started normal; we were sat by a kind server and ordered 2 flights. From that point forward, we were completely abandoned. The last thing our server said was, "let me know which one you like and you'll get a half pour on the house for Father's Day!" She then left us, never came back, and sat at the bar drinking. After 30 minutes, we walked up to the bar and returned our empty flight carriers. We asked for a beer and told the apparently confused bartender about our situation: we were sat and waited on initially, but didn't want to jump their tipping system and just order our own beers at the bar. That clown said nothing - and nothing changed. We finally just walked up to the bar, paid, and left. Absolutely disgusting experience. I hope to save any visitors the same god-awful experience we had. Management and ownership should be ashamed that we had this totally unapologetic experience. Lastly, the beer was garbage. No idea how the regularly sell any of it. Their tap lines are definitely dirty, and almost every brew we tried tasted...
Read moreErie Brewing includes the Birchwood Inn. Erie is beer, Beechwood Inn is Food. They have a bizarre procedure for food. You check in with a hostess to be seated. We had a 20 min wait even though the place was 75%empty so I guess they have a kitchen staff shortage. Once seated a waitress takes drink orders, an Erie transaction with a separate check. For food, you go to a window to order and pay then return to your table. A pager tells you when to go back and pick up your food. Then go to a separate station for utensils and condiments. Interestingly, the person taking the food order expected a tip even though she never left the register! The food was OK. Nothing special. The atmosphere was OK. Lots of merchandise for sale. And everything was tourist pricey. I wouldn't go out of my way to go back. The staff trolling for tips was really poor form. Oh, pay attention to the menu. Very poorly written. I included a pic of the fish taco description. You can try to figure out if the standard is perch...
