The BEST doughnut shop EVER. Do not miss this place. A true mom & pop gem in the heart of Erie and the owners are lovely humans.

I have lived in NYC, Brooklyn, San Francisco, and Denver and have never been able to find a doughnut shop that compares. My grandparents had a cottage on Lake Erie which I have visited from childhood and still do now, and this is the number one business I look forward to frequenting every year.

The cake is baked to perfection, icing is just the right amount of sweet, the eclairs have cream that is to die for!

The business is clean, the owners are friendly and always treat your kids so sweetly with a donut hole in line, and the locals sitting at the bar for coffee reading the actual newspapers warm your heart.

I love H&K doughnuts I have always thought that they have the best doughnuts in the land My late boss Don Bovaird " Tree Man " (RIP) use to drive there almost every morning so we could have doughnuts before starting the work day. He was the boss and person I ever had the privilege to meet and work for! I haven't had an H&K doughnut in a few years, but let me tell you something. It was absolutely delicious just like I remembered, and it brought back good memories of Don and doing tree work. Thank you H&K...

Love the homemade donuts here, especially the cream filled. But it gets crowded early on the weekends. Any time after nine and the selection goes down rapidly and you may be waiting outside. I am not saying it isn't worth it, just be prepared. Get your workout at Presque Isle done early in morning and then grab a dozen of guilt free donuts as a reward. Extending that smug satisfaction to your late rising friends and family as you all enjoy the donuts...
