We stopped in to Mc Phersonās today for lunch. The parking lot was crowded and we could not get a booth inside the restaurant. I ordered fish sandwich with fries and my Mother ordered meatloaf. The meal came to a little over $22. The meatloaf and fish sandwiches are specialty dishes at this restaurant. The fish sandwich was good although I could have used more tartar sauce. The French fries were ok, but not the best Iāve ever had. The meals were large so we did not eat the entire meal. The waitress stopped by to get the order and to check us out, but didnāt come by to ask how our food was or if we needed anything - that is, until we were ready to go. I had to stop her to ask for mustard for my fries. The bathroom door would not stay shut and it is very tight fit in the room although it is clean (thatās a good sign). This restaurant is known for its cinnamon rolls and bread which Iāve had before in the past and they are very good. I think the indice of the restaurant looks q but dated, but I guess that adds to the charm of the restaurant. I donāt pass through this way often, but Iād stop here for breakfast. The prices are reasonable, the food is delivered quickly and the servers...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis is not a bad place to eat with very limited menu.
Issues: Classic closes at 2 pm, I get thatās the new thing. However we visited on the BIGGEST day of the year. Annual M-15 garage sale. 20 miles of sales.
You would think that on this day they would stay open maybe to 5? But instead they turn people away, because why not?
Also known for their large cinnamon rolls. You would think they would make 2-3 times the usual amount. Nope sold out by 10 am. Why would you want that extra income?
Bottom line itās just not worth it coming here. They clearly are going to do fine without the extra business. The wait staff does not need the boost of income either. Tip accordingly.
I am not into supporting this type of business mentality.
It is the equivalent of all stores closing on Black Friday. Makes no sense.
Do your self a favor and head down the road to the many other restaurants who understand this major...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreEasily the best breakfast spot I've been to. The coffee was fantastic, the bacon was thick-cut and flavorful, and the sunrise breakfast was extremely reasonably priced. Yes, there was a bit of a wait after we got seated but the turnaround of the tables was so fast that it seemed barely noticeable. the homemade baked goods were definitely a highlight, i got the homemade wheat toast and a cinnamon roll for the road, both of which were outstanding. Yes the environment is a little bit cramped, but that's not something you really notice because the seating capacity is so small it doesn't seem like a lot of people. Overall, i probably wouldn't share this place eith a friend just because i would want to keep it...
