We've been to the brewery several times. The beers are always on point and we really like them. Somehow they made good use of the space given the highway and Ingles. There's a lot of rocks though. I mean, every inch of ground is covered in a layer of rocks. A little grass would be nice. We stayed away during the summer because it gets super hot in the sun and stagnant under the shelters with no fans. The inside looks nice but the way the lines form for beer in food makes it a less desirable place to want to sit and hang out. It is very nice in the evening with the lights and band playing. The food on the other hand hasn't impressed us yet. We ordered buffalo wings last night and they had a sweet bbq flavor. I don't like sweet sauces so I was disappointed as I am usually safe and no what to expect with buffalo sauce. I couldn't eat them. No one at our table cared for the sauce but the quality of the chicken was good. I moved on to the Cajun boiled peanuts. They were crunchy and flavorless. Needless to say I left hungry and spent $30 on food. I really hope the...
Read moreFirst time at Appalachian Mountain Brewery in Mills River, and it will be the last. We had looked at an online food menu before arriving, and they had nothing on the online menu at the establishment. We sat at the bar thinking that the service would be better. We were wrong. Employees there offered no insight into any of the beers there when we asked. All Employees were too busy looking at their phones or the TV. We placed our order and never received our appetizer. We asked about our appetizers, and the server said he would check on it. He never came back because he was too busy killing flies with an electric wand fly killer. So disgusting. The beer mats on the bar had obviously not been cleaned as they were FULL of flies. There are lots of fly traps sitting everywhere around the glasses at the bar. The beer was cold, but I couldn't stomach to finish it after a fly had landed in it. Thumbs down for this...
Read moreLove the decor. Inside and outside seating. Some of the outside seating is covered pavilion and others are covered with umbrellas. There is corn hole to play. The day we came there was live music. Plenty of parking. The view looking over the parking lot is a nice view of the mountain and some cows. Kids are allowed. Dogs are allowed.
I ordered the Just peachy: Super yummy if you like peach and goat cheese. I think this was an awesome combo. I was definitely a fan. The fries are waffles fries but they have some sort of seasoning or batter on them, they weren’t bad. My fiancé got the hawt chicken sandwich, she said it was good. There are lots of options for beer. I had the blueberry lemonade (non-alcoholic) it was refreshing after being out all day. I could really see myself coming here again if I’m in the area. It’s definitely my...
