We quit going to this Papa Johns over a year ago because the quality was POOR, there were numerous times where toppings were non existent even though we paid for them and if you didn't order extra cheese you frequently ran the risk of cheese not covering the entire pizza. We've been EXTREMELY happy with Hunt Brothers pizza in the Marathon gas station next to the Asheville airport. Since it's been over a year we thought we'd try Papa Johns again, ordered double cheese to be safe. The family member that picked up the pizza was in a hurry and forgot to check the pizza before leaving. Once opened at home I couldn't believe it, even if we had NOT ordered double cheese I still would've taken it back. Drove 10in back to the store and yes they refunded and weren't rude, but I certainly didn't get an apology. The pizza was unedible unless you prefer pizza with no cheese, it was bad, they asked if I wanted the pizza after the refund and I said no, I wouldn't have drove the 10 min back to the store at 8pm at night if I could have ate it, for almost $15 it was pathetic!
Point is, the 3.3 out of 5 rating is above the 2 stars I gave it, but in the totality of things, obviously this isn't something ownership and management are that concerned with since it's been occurring at this Papa John for at least 2 yrs with our experience. Once more competition is built in Mills River this place will HAVE to change, right now they don't have to and obviously ownership is taking advantage of that. Save yourself the hassle and money and just go to Hunt Brothers, they do NOT cheat you on toppings and you NEVER have to ask for extra cheese as they give you ample regular cheese. Large pizza there is $12.99 no matter one topping or 10 toppings,...
Read moreToday. The service and the competence of the staff seemed low. We have been to the store before and have had our order incorrect. This time was a totally worse experience. We got to the store waited an additional 30 minutes to get our pizza. We get home, had the complete wrong pizza with the wrong name, called the store, drove back to the store, found out it was the wrong pizza again, and had them remake it. The staff seemed to be joking in laughing which is fine but it seemed like their work was suffering as a result of this behavior and carelessness. When you hear the people making your pizza that they don’t want to make it again or I’m not doing it again. It doesn’t leave you with much confidence that your order will be correct. They are in need of some severe management reconstruction. I have never had such poor service from a PapaJohns in my life. I will not be back to this store. I would rather drive to Asheville than go to this store again. I have worked in food service for a long time growing up and don’t usually complain. Their work ethic could use some work and change from the carelessness. After 2 hours and two trips to the store, we were able to get our...
Read moreDon't order from them! They will screw up the order! I called to place the order and was told to place it online but when I tried there was not an option to order sauces. I called back and was reassred the sauces would be included in my order. Guess what? I have 3 screaming kids because someone can't do their job!! When I called back to complain I was told the driver MAY be able to get back to me in an hour or two. Ever told a bunch of kids to just stare at pizza for a couple hours? Needless to say I will NEVER order from then again unless I am standing there watching their every move to make sure the order is correct. Furthermore, I have already started to draft a letter to the corporate office. This could have been avoided if 1. the order was correct and 2. an apology issued for the error with a plan to make it right ASAP. I sincerely hope Papa John's will train their employees better to satisfy the needs of the customer and how to resolve issues which result in dissatisfied customers. It's not...
