First and last time customer. We have driven past this place many times and decided to try this place. We live 35 min away and called in the order. We ordered a large thick style crust, apparently what they are known for. We also added a small and they gave us the options of hand tossed or thin and we went with thin.
I picked up my order and nothing unusual was said to me and drove home. Upon getting home both pies were unfortunately hand tossed. I called the store and they said I had to return them for any type of compensation. Out of the question because it was a 1 hr round trip.
She also said the small does not come in thin so they decided to make it in hand tossed. I can appreciate when taking the order you may have forgotten that it’s not available but arbitrarily changing my order and not advising about the change upon pick up is not acceptable.
She told she would fwd my information to the mgr who would contact me the next day to refund. Obviously no one called me.
On to the quality of the product. The large pizza was cut in 2-3” wide slices, very little sauce and cheese. The crust seemed and tasted like a pre made frozen version of a hand tossed. a gas station pizza slice would have been a better choice for the money. Amex dispute for services/ goods...
Read moreI've been here twice... once to try their pizza 2 years ago when visiting Millstadt and now 2 years later to try their weekday lunch buffet on a day the kids were out of school. The only reason I knew they had a weekday lunch buffet was from visiting 2 years ago... it's not really advertised anywhere and I'm not even sure of the pricing.... it was around $30 for 2 adults and 2 children under 8 years old which included drinks so I'm guessing $10 for adults and $5 for kids. They were very busy and had trouble keeping up with clean pates for the buffet but you could tell the workers were working as fast as they could to keep up.
I assume the buffet is from 11-1 on weekdays. The salad bar/toppings are very good (eggs, olives, bacon bits, croutons, 2 kinds of cheese), they have stuff for basic kids nachos with beef and cheese sauce but there were only tortilla chip crumbs left the entire time we were there. The pizza was good and they had a decent variety (pineapple/ham, mushroom/sausage, pepperoni) plus cheese sticks and brownies. They also have a small toddler play area which is nice. It seems like a popular lunch...
Read moreI bet this is a really good place to go for the pizza buffet! But if you're a little late & the buffet is over, then it's a different world. Without a buffet then you need to decide what to order. No problem. Just look at the menu. But there's only 1 menu in the whole place & it's taped to the front counter by the cash register. Speaking of only 1, there was only 1 guy working there at that time. He did the best he could to serve us, but he took the order, made the pizza, baked the pizza, and served the pizza & other stuff. And he waited on the few other people who came in, too. It was over 50 minutes before we got our food. The pizzas were great, no question about that, but we won't be back unless we're there in time for the buffet...
