ANDY D’s Road House in Milton, Florida is where our Sunday Funday turned into a YumDay this week. We felt like we walked into a home town country road house. The food was wonderful and the service was amazing. Marie had the Pancake Breakfast—Two fluffy pancakes, two eggs any style (she chose the scrambled way), cheese grits and bacon. I had the Two Egg Break—Two eggs any style (I had mine over easy), home fries, a biscuit, and bacon. We were so hungry. We were clean platers and did not need to-go boxes this week. After we ate, we decided to try out my new selfie tripod. Let’s say I don’t quite have it figured out yet and we had some good laughs over it. We went back inside and asked the staff to help us get our last picture. Not only did they take our picture but Andy D himself joined in on our photo taking and introduced himself. If you have not been to Andy D’s, they have two locations, one in Milton, Florida where we visited and the other location is in Navarre Beach, Florida. If you go, ask for Andy and tell him Marie and Michelle sent you. We ended our day visiting Locklin Lake. I had never been before. Marie’s Dad lives on the lake and she shared her childhood memories with me. What a beautiful Sunday Funday Yumday we had. Follow along to see where we end up tasting our day away next week. Remember, if you see us, stop and say hello. @Marie Locklin #sundayfundayyyy #Foodie #review #brunch #friendship

So I wanna start with saying: I read the reviews already made and will make comparative reviews. #1: You can not get food poisoning within minutes of eating, it takes 12+ hours for the virus to kick in. A simple google search can tell you that & I’m saying it from 12 years in the medical field as a nurse. #2: We went at 1700 today (Sunday) and it was seat yourself, from what I saw about 5ish tables, so not busy. Our server was Kevin & he was personable, quick, and responsive. I legit only asked for food eta because of the “it took 45 mins” reviews. We only waited maybe 15 mins? But then, my hubs ordered meatloaf and it was popular tonight. When I asked Kevin, it wasn’t because I was complaining, it was just a curious question, but he went above and brought out a side of Mac & chz which we didn’t order to any inconvenience (there was none and I expressed this). #3: By the name, like others, I’d expect more land meats instead of seafood - like pork, ribs, fried chicken, pork chops, etc. Honestly, I just think the restaurants name is and sign is misleading, but to each their own. Take accountability and research the menu first. #4: Tastes: AMAZING & Well seasoning, if anything the fries were a smidge salty (& I like my salt, but it left the salty burn feeling in my mouth after). I was skeptical of the lingering seafood tastes because of it being a primarily seafood house, but none of my food did. I got the chicken tenders & fries - fries are a wide spiral shape & I love how it blends wedges /regular fries. The chicken tenders reminded me of Zaxby’s tenders, but they were juicy, crispy, and seasoned. My hubs got the meatloaf dinner, as I mentioned before. He said it was good and has no negative criticism, he said the taters w| gravy and the side veggies were good as well. He even liked the Mac n chz which he normally doesn’t like. He got lemonade & I got sweet tea - with the ONLY negative on that part are the COMPOSTABLE straws. I absolutely abhor them. They leave a weird texture/flavor that kinda ruins the drink. #5: The live music: I don’t think people read & they fail to once again take accountability. The sign out front said open mic or live music from 5-8. Is it loud? YES. Is there a seating area away from it? Yes. I come from Jacksonville, so this kind of environment is common & isn’t an issue for us. #6: This is just to wrap things up - this is our second time to Andy D’s Roadhouse. 1st was breakfast during week 1 of being open, and then today. The menu hasn’t changed, so we probably won’t be back until something gets added or we just wanna have tenders & meatloaf. It’s just because we like variety. Not because the food is bad or anything like that.

Andy D’s Milton: Taco Tuesday is a Must-Try! My wife and I recently visited Andy D’s in Milton for their Tuesday Taco Night and were genuinely impressed by the value and attentive service. For couples looking for an affordable and fun weeknight dinner, this half-price special—featuring chicken, shrimp, or Wagyu tacos, plus one side—is an absolute steal. Being able to mix and match taco types made the meal a perfect shared experience. The star of the show was undoubtedly the Shrimp Tacos. They were delicious, featuring perfectly cooked shrimp topped with a vibrant salsa and sauce (likely the sweet and spicy mentioned on the menu). The flavors were bright and well-balanced. The Wagyu tacos, while interesting, were simply okay, lacking the same "wow" factor as their seafood counterpart. We paired our tacos with their unique French Fries. These aren't your typical thin-cut fries; their unusual shape gives them a great crispy-to-fluffy ratio, making them a satisfying and solid side dish. Beyond the food, the service truly stood out. The staff was attentive and very nice throughout our meal, ensuring a pleasant dining experience. The biggest surprise of the night was the bill: dinner for two, including the tacos and sides, came in at under $25! Given the quality and the excellent pricing, we were surprised the restaurant wasn't more crowded. Andy D's Taco Tuesday is a local treat that definitely deserves more attention. Rating: 4/5 Stars (5/5 for value!)

FIVE STARS ANDY D’S ROADHOUSE – MILTON, FLORIDA “CAM SERVED THAT RIBEYE WITH THE STRENGTH OF SAMSON AND THE TIMING OF KEVIN HART.”

Let me break it down for y’all—

So Mama D came through Andy D’s this past Saturday with my two wild grandbabies, Zach and Zoe. Zach built like a microwave with legs and Zoe stay mean-muggin’ like she payin’ rent. We were hungry, hangry, and lookin’ for beef, not drama. And baby, we found both—but the good kind.

Now, in walks our waiter: Cam.

When I tell you this man walked up lookin’ like Ronnie Coleman in a black apron, I ain’t exaggeratin’. Arms like turkey legs from the state fair. Shoulders built like they been holdin’ up burdens since the Old Testament. I said, “LAWD, who hired this linebacker in slacks?!”

But it wasn’t just the muscles—it was the comedy. Cam had jokes. Quick with the one-liners, talkin’ ‘bout, “Y’all want y’all steak mooing or married with kids?” I nearly choked on my sweet tea. Zoe even smiled—and that child don’t laugh at NOBODY.

I ordered the 12 oz ribeye, baked potato, and side salad. Cam nodded and said, “I got you, Mama D. I’ll make sure the cow died for a reason.” And baby, that steak came out lookin’ like a blessing. Cooked medium rare, seasoned like Sunday gossip, and tender like a Marvin Gaye song.

The baked potato? Loaded like my purse at Costco. The salad? So fresh, it tried to vote. The service? Lightning fast. I blinked, and Cam was back with napkins, extra ranch, and a one-man comedy show.

Zach was so full he leaned back like he was floatin’ into heaven. Zoe said, “He strong AND funny… Granny, he single?” I said, “Girl, hush before I throw this fork.”

By the time we left, I was ready to adopt Cam, tip him in hugs, and print him on a T-shirt. He even held the door open like a gentleman with biceps so big the wind said excuse me.

⸝

FINAL THOUGHTS: • Food? Smacked harder than a church fan in July. • Cam? Funnier than a pastor who lost his place in the sermon. • Zach & Zoe? Full, quiet, and grateful—ain’t nothin’ holier than that. • Mama D? Impressed. And I don’t impress easy. Detroit raised me, baby.

FIVE STARS. One for the steak. One for the laughs. One for the biceps. One for the baked potato. And one for Cam, who’s officially part of the family now (he don’t know it yet).

– Mama D Certified Southern Reviewer. Muscle Inspector. And part-time...

Well my family and I thought it was going to be fun to try a new place and since it seemed to always be full we went and it was not ok at all.

For appetizers DO NOT get fried pickles they were so salty and there was barely any pickles mainly bread. We also got chips and salsa which the chips were the best part out of my WHOLE meal. The salsa tasted like ketchup in a way

I felt like it was struggling with figuring out what it was cause i felt almost as if i was eating in a nursing home for some reason.

The food- My grandfather had gotten the grouper and was super excited about it he tried it and it was very dry he even complained about it which he doesn’t do a whole lot. With the steaks I can understand the $38 price along with the 2 sides but don’t you think you could at least tell the customer how it is served? My mother and grandmother both got them and it was popping oils everywhere and it wasn't cooked all the way the server could tell them if they wanted it to be cooked more they could flip it so the other side could cook. My dad and brother had gotten chicken which both if their meals tasted like fish which may mean they might have separating problems with their foods. I on the other hand not having a huge appetite got a grilled cheese which it wasn’t even grilled my bun fell right off which should not happen.

Overall we paid at least $100 for food most of us didn’t eat my dad even handed back his meal. The wait time was around 45-60 minutes for the food and we were all so confused on why.

Service- The host was sweet leading to our server who just seemed pissed the whole time including when we had made comments on how we did not like the food. The manager came to us and you can tell she was trying to help us out with refunds and around $18 dollars off our meal.

Will not...
