Update 10/1/25:
I wasn't going to give up, and I'm so glad I tried again! This place instantly brought back the best food memories.
Let's be real: the decor is retro, but if you know anything about truly amazing Chinese food, you know the golden rule—the more run-down the place looks, the better the food tastes!
The fried rice—whatever variation you choose—is absolutely NEXT LEVEL! I’m declaring it the Best in Milwaukee, hands down! I have been on a personal mission, trying every contender—Hong Kong Express, A1 China, Yaya, you name it—and nothing compares. The ultimate fried rice champion is right here!
The owner, Jenny, is an absolute sweetheart and so nice! Don't let the exterior stop you—walk right in, say hello, and order the fried rice. Seriously, the food is more than worth it! You won't regret it!
Old review: 3 of the 3 times I bothered to enter this restaurant no workers were in the lobby, receptionist desk, anywhere to be found to even place my order. Never got the chance to order my food before I left disgusted! I even yelled "Hello" loudly and nobody even bother to greet me. I've fond memories of eating here in my early 20's, now I'm late 40's and love to support this restaurant but apparently the service needs an overhaul. Spend couple dollars update your lighting, its so dark most customer walk right in and walk out, this place is way out dated and looks...
Read moreI ordered imperial eggrolls upon entering the facility. There was a very dense appearance and smell of old refrigeration. The hostess was very nice. The price was very good two dollars per egg roll and the eggrolls were basic. I go there again only if it was only option close to my home and I don’t feel like driving, I believe everyone agrees they need to clean up that place clear that smell and turn on some lights because lots of places turn off lights to hide infestation of mice and roaches, and we can only imagine what the kitchen looks like
Maybe that’s why the prices are so cheap but there’s hope simply shut it down, clean it up, clean the windows and doors when you first come in and people may start to come back because it is a very ideal location in terms of option for Chinese food culturally cooked versus Hong Kong express located nearby on the northwest side near 76 in good Hope...
Read moreI love this place, the food is the best I've ever had & you get enough for a couple meals at least!! The owners are wonderful & are doing they're best to keep it up! If you can get past the old & not up to date decor, you will not be disappointed, plus their bar prices are lower than anywhere else I know!! Just check out those crab ragons I posted & tell me where else you can get them...
