Ever since Tribeca closed at this location we've been waiting for another coffee shop to open and it finally has. It's beautiful in the inside, and our first coffee and tea selections were very, very good. Although I almost didn't order anything when I looked at the menu. Nothing is labeled vegan so I couldn't tell if any of the food or tea options had dairy, eggs or honey in them. They do mention cream, so I assume that's dairy cream. But they also offer dairy milk alternatives so I eventually settled on the blue tea with oat milk. Never having blue tea before I didn't know if it was pre-sweetened or not and it was too hot to test before we left, so I added a couple of packets of sweetener to it. It really is blue and left my tongue blue after drinking it. I don't know what makes it blue - is it a natural dye or artificial? We actually wanted food because we hadn't had breakfast, but being vegan and vegetarian, we couldn't get anything they offered. Maybe someday they'll put some things on their menu for everyone to enjoy. We had to drive down the street to Collectivo to get our food, but I'm glad we tried Azal. Vegans might want to skip this place for the time being. I'll check back with them in the future to see if they've made improvements. Oh, and one other thing about the service. They asked for our name when we placed our to-go order. When it was ready, they called out the type of beverage instead of our name. Why take our name then? The first gentleman who called out one of our two drinks was so soft-spoken we couldn't tell what he was calling out, so we didn't get up from our seats. Then a second gentleman came over and called out the name of the drink in a clear voice and we realized that was one of our two. The second drink came out shortly after that. They're new and just getting started, so I can see they've got to get some experience...

If you’re in the mood for a truly exceptional coffee shop experience, Azal is the place to be. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted by a warm, welcoming atmosphere that immediately sets the tone for a relaxed and enjoyable visit. The staff is great and welcoming.
If you’re a matcha lover, you’re in for a treat. Their matcha is top-notch, it has a smooth, earthy flavor that’s rich and refreshing without any bitterness. For coffee lovers, this place also does not disappoint. The coffee tastes authentic. No fake syrups or artificial tasting flavors, just high-quality beans that are brewed to perfection.
And let’s not forget the desserts. Every single one is fresh, gooey, and downright heavenly. The mini pancakes with chocolate and pistachio cream were amazing.
The décor of this coffee shop is something to rave about as well. It’s not your typical cookie-cutter design, you can tell that a lot of thought went into creating a unique atmosphere.
What truly sets Azal apart is their ability to come up with refreshing drink combinations that are both exciting and delicious. It’s clear they have a creative team behind the scenes who knows how to mix flavors and elevate the coffee shop experience.
Overall, this place has all the ingredients for success. Between the fantastic drinks, the mouthwatering desserts, the inviting atmosphere, and the unique décor, it’s no wonder Azal is a favorite among locals. If they expand to other states, I have no doubt they’ll quickly become a go-to for coffee lovers everywhere....
Read moreUpon walking in, you’re immediately hit with a beautiful atmosphere and an aroma so good it practically grabs you by the nose and drags you to the counter. Then you’re greeted by a staff so friendly you’ll wonder if you accidentally walked into a family reunion. Seriously — they’re THAT nice.
The staff always goes above and beyond to help with any questions (even the dumb ones I tend to ask). The cashier — who I’ve seen on multiple visits — is an absolute doll, and one of the owners (Bobby, I believe?) is phenomenal. If they ever run for mayor, they’ve got my vote.
Now, let’s talk about the real star: the menu. There’s something for everyone — picky eaters, adventurous taste-testers, and people who “just came for coffee” but leave with half the dessert case. The coffee quality is unreal — it tastes like they hand-picked the beans from a magical field of deliciousness.
My three favorite picks: the Dubai Chocolate Cheesecake cup (or slice, if you’re lucky enough to get there before they sell out — blink and they’re gone), the Mango Dragon Refresher (basically summer in a cup), and the Lotus Biscoff Iced Latte (which is dessert disguised as coffee — genius!).
If you’re thinking about checking them out, stop thinking and just GO. Your taste buds will thank you, and you can thank...
