Still love their chicken, especially their whole wings and leg/thighs. I miss the ginger flakes they used to have, but it is what it is. Lemon pepper salt works great.

This last time, we got the 15 piece whole wings and 8 piece legs and thighs. It was plenty to feed two men with big appetites and a gal with a big appetite. Should be plenty for 4 people with big appetites, with leftovers. I generally get a lot so we can have leftovers.

A day later, I'm looking at their menu again and wondering... we didn't get any coleslaw and bread, though we did get a lot of fries and aLOT of hot sauce. Actually, they've forgotten Cole slaw on several occasions. Remember to check and ask before bringing home the chicken!

7/2024 We've tried fried gizzard on this last pick up order. A+!

11/2023 They have changed ownership since I was absolutely wowed when I first learned about them some years ago, before covid. The chicken is still good and we still to get takeout from here from time to time, but it's definitely no longer the bestest place for chicken.

the little things that made it special, like the ginger strips are gone, though they still give you lemon salt sprinkles.

Service is fine - it is a pick up joint so we don't have much interaction. I've gotten door dash service but they always seem to forget something when I do. Like this time, they forgot fries. Last time, Cole slaw. When we pick up ourselves, we always check before we leave because it happens quite often.

fried whole wings - deliciously golden, not too salty. They are whole wings, in 3 sections, which is nice if you like the wing tip area like I do.

potato wedges - these are more expensive than regular fries, but there's no Merrit in paying the extra. Regular fries are pretty good, and the wedges are subpar.

When this guy is on,he's ON!!! His chicken is perfectly fried. Now I did catch him on one off day,kinda embarrassed me cause I was bragging on his chicken & bought a bunch for my family & it was kinda "Meh". I guess it was like the gizzards(They were dry & hard & probably not soaked in buttermilk or pressure cooked or slow cooked or boiled to make them soft,they are probably just rinsed off out the package, battered & fried,same goes for the boneless wings,just dry & the chicken was meh(That only happened one time,so again probably an off day,maybe needed to change the grease???). I went back again & got a catfish filet sandwich & bought more chicken for the kids. The fish sandwich was great,the fries were off this day,I don't know why,they tasted extra fishy & were dry. The chicken was also back up to standard. I hope that this business has much success, cool down to earth people. Ordered 4 meals, only two were made correctly. The dipping cheese was disgusting & chunky I'm not sure it was even cheese honestly. We were told 15/20 mins and it took exactly an HOUR! We asked for ketchup & got 2 small cups for 4 meals. As we were waiting Another lady came in & stated she called her order in and still had to wait an additional 25mins! The cheesecurds were rubbery clearly made way before the chicken just like the shake we ordered. At least my daughter enjoyed the shake. The chicken was extra crispy on one side and soggy on the other, melted the Styrofoam because obviously it's too costly for this establishment to throw a piece of bread in there to avoid both of those issues.
