I would give this place 20 stars if I could. My husband and I had our wedding here on 6/15/24 and everything was PERFECT. We were allowed to decorate the Friday evening before, the staff was attentive to our needs and made sure we were taken care of 100% of the time, and everything was far beyond any expectations I ever had. The staff even went as far as figuring out how to pack up a two-tier cake for me when we didn't have any boxes to take it home in. They also kindly packed up cake slices for our wedding party after they were cut and served and we realized we were so full we wouldn't be able to eat them. They made sure everyone had enough drinks before the bar went from an open bar to a cash bar, and everyone LOVED the BBQ buffet. My 17 piece band played in the area by the bar, and they provided exceptional service to all musicians (who are my dearest friends) as well. This is a beautiful place acoustically that sounds fantastic with live music - besides a huge band, we also had a brass quintet play the ceremony and the sound was incredible. The dance floor is big and lovely, and we polka-ed the night away. There have been major improvements in the building even since we booked it for our wedding in December - it's clearly loved and well invested in. I'm not a golfer, but I would absolutely come back here for a beer and some food! We had every bit of our wedding at the venue and the way they handle things is just amazing. I could spend hours telling you about all the amazing things. In my opinion, this is the most underrated wedding venue in the city. If you're getting married this fall or next year, save yourself literally thousands of dollars and book here AND support Milwaukee County Parks with your money!
The only small thing I will say is that our point of contact, Kimberly, was just a little slow replying to emails from time to time when we were going back and forth in the planning process. I can only imagine how insanely busy she is - so if I really needed an answer or something quick I just gave her a call and got it sorted out. I say this not to knock her or anyone at the venue at ALL, but just as a head's up to anyone who is very type A and doing their wedding planning themselves. I would 100000% do this over again though without a hesitation!

Read moreI don't golf. However we were here to look at the building that contains the pro shop for a wedding. It's referred to as "Oak and Antler. The building was open and we were able to tour the inside. It is a super nice building. Perfect for a smaller wedding , will seat approx 115 comfortably. This is a gem if you are trying to keep your wedding costs down, and still have an iconic looking venure. So many decoration possibilities. Met some of the catering staff and they were super helpful. If this works out, we will be having a wedding...
Read moreThe golf course at Brown deer Park is a beautiful hidden staple of a course for Milwaukee natives who actually overlook it as an option. The clubhouse, though showing it's age, is still grand as ever with it's massive fireplace, bar and cafe. It's a really nice event venue option in a natural setting with...
