Our normal go-to Mexican food restaurant was not open, so we checked Yelp and found El Senorial. And guess what? Now we've got TWO go-to Mexican Food restaurants!
We called at noon to see if they thought there would be a table available at 1:00 for 10. They said they'd have one ready. When we arrived, the place was packed. I was worried, but sure enough, they had a table for 10 set up and waiting for us, chips and salsa already in place.
I tend to order the same thing the first time I go to a new Mexican restaurant: tostadas. I think the open-faced taco on a crispy tortilla is the best entree for judging. I've had so many kinds, from the best to the worst, and El Senorial's approaches the former. (That means it's good.) Not only are they delicious, they're enormous. I had the dinner version, which comes with three tostadas and rice and beans. This is easily enough for two hungry people. I brought half home.
The service was friendly and expeditious, despite the restaurant's brisk business. Everyone in my party had a great time and promised to be back.
Oh, and it's a good value, too.
El Senorial, I'll see you again soon. Only this time, maybe two ala carte...
Read moreI go to this restaurant all the time with my family. This past weekend I went and asked if a few items could be used as a combination, my server said yes. After eating some okay food I looked at my bill and my "combination" costs 14 dollars because it was rung up a la cart. Im sorry I would never pay that much for 2 tostadas and a vwry small chimi. Hence the reason I asked if what I wanted was a combination. They then brought my mother posole with no meat. She politely asked for a new bowl with meat. The server was sweet and said yes, she went and brought a new bowl with only 5 small diced pieces of meat. My mom was so suprised and the manager brought her a bowl of meat to make it better. She found out she was charged for extra meat when the soup had none to begin with and for extra for the cabbage, cilantro ect. Mind you when the lady got her a fresh bowl she took the fixings with her the first time. I felt I was lied to and nothing was being done when I spoke to the manager. Im so disappointed as I LOVE this place, time to find a new...
Read moreI was visiting in Milwaukee, and I decided to look up a place for tacos, by the Google/yelp/facebook reviews. Such deceit, I went through! Firstly, so many people mentioned that their steak tacos were full of flavor, good size, and good steak size chunks; lies. Secondly, it was mentioned that the Horchata drink was authentic and delicious; it tasted like it the mixes that are sold in stores.., meh.. Lastly, people mentioned the reasonable prices. There is nothing reasonable about paying 13 for a petite Taco dinner, even less, $6.50 for a 32oz Horchata. The sauce was also mentioned within reviews, and that wasn't bad. The tacos were tiny. The beans were different but ok, and the horchata was just ok. I could've purchased a lot better, for the price. The staff was barely kind. Sadly, it was late, and not much was open. Also, I was mislead by reviews. I hope no one else is mislead after me. Here are the pictures of my meal and the receipt. Thank...
