Hook Fish & Chicken — Restaurant in Milwaukee

Yeah, so sorry to say, but in my opinion, and totally going by my last drive-thru visit on 4/30/25, the food just isn't slamming like it once was. Like what happened? Did they change fry cooks? Someone got fired, perhaps??? Well whatever the issue, I don't know if I'll be going back anytime too soon. They apparently changed their French fry vendor & the ones that were served to me were straight cold and just not good. And I know a good French fry. Been eating them for years. I mean why not just get a decent economy bag of the crinkle cut French fries that you can easily find at Walmart? Because those would be a hell of a lot better than what I was served. The cup of nacho cheese sauce couldn't even save them.

And just to touch on the 6pc catfish that I had ordered. It wasn't terrible, but it was nowhere as good as it used to be. Those catfish steaks used to taste like butter. This time they were fried kinda hard hard and some parts were rubbery. Spent damn near $30 on that meal and was not satisfied. That was my cheat meal & at the time the last $30 that I had possessed:(. Won't make that mistake again. Food costs is too high nowadays to just get thrown some scraps.

I ordered Italian beef with extra cheese and this company gave me what they wanted to give me this is not an Italian beef they fried steak and put American cheese on top as if this was Italian beef and then they fried it so hard to wear is jet black The french fries was so horrible they were still cold as if they only dipped them in the grease for like 1 minute I would never eat here again and don't asking me only a $5 credit wow so I screw both ways but I will be reporting this to my bank to dispute this garbage that they sold me burnt up food when I asked for a Italian beef they give me steak meat this restaurant knows what it's doing and it's sad that they did customers like this people just need to stop eating at this restaurant cuz it's ridiculous that y'all are able to burn up this meat...

New owners as of November 2024 they nasty now the old workers was nice and professional plus the food was good.. now Indian or Arab ppl have it idk they nationality but they suck got my food recooked 1st time under cooked my fish second time over cooked.. this use to be the only place I ever brought my fish from now ugh.. i don’t know about the other food but the fish n gizzards was the worst I ever tasted!! This is not the real hooks owners n new management suck so does the cooks just plain ole nasty sad the good ppl always sell out to these people n the food gets bad ruining the name go to center st market they may be the only good fish...
