We decided to take advantage of the "Kids Eat Free" day at J. Leinenkugel's Barrel Yard. This restaurant is such a cool idea. You have your choice of any Leinenkugel beer on tap plus 5 pilot beers that are not available anywhere outside the ballpark. I had the blood orange IPA. It was awesome, and who knows, maybe it will sell enough to get it moved to full-time production. The staff was ready for all the kids. We arrived about 20 minutes before the rush, and that proved to be a good move. The staff are quick, friendly, consultative, and don't worry if your kid is messy. They've got it handled. My wife had a salad and beer battered walleye. I had Pa's pastrami sandwich. Both were really good. Went great with our cheese curds and fried pickles. Needless to say there was still some food left to box up at the end, so the portions are great. I'll have to come back without my little one for trivia night one of these evenings. Just a really cool family brewpub concept, and you can see the field from where you're eating. Don't forget to stop at the Milwaukee Brewers team store on your way out because who doesn't have at least 6 different...

The staff and service was great. The food was very good as well. I heard the interview with the Barrel Yard chefs on 97.3 last week and that prompted us to go. I recommend trying it out, they have a lot of food options some fun beers on tap. The Fresh Hop Lager was fantastic. I wish we could have tried more but we were so full from what we ordered. Next time I guess.

I do have two feedback items. The menu doesn't appear to have everything that is available listed. I heard on the radio interview that there was Prime Rib on Saturdays, but it was no where to be found on the menu or signs. I had to ask about it and the server had to go and check. Not sure how anyone else would know it's available. I suggest having the nightly specials listed somewhere. They also talked about the buttermilk biscuits a lot on the radio. I was really excited for those, but it may have been an off night for that item because ours were just dense squares. It was expecting light and fluffy.

Overall, I gave it a very good rating and we enjoyed it. I hope more people come...

I went to a Brewers game with my wife and young son today. He fell asleep in my wife’s arms mid-game. We went to the restaurant in the park so we could eat a little bit while he slept in her arms and still watch the game. The waitstaff (and someone who looked like the manager) immediately questioned whether we would spend enough money on food to their liking before seating us. We had already purchased 2 beers at the adjoining bar beforehand, so we were about $31 into our bill. We said we would probably order an appetizer and an entree and they still hemmed and hawed over whether or not to seat us. We walked away and left the game early instead of sitting somewhere we weren’t welcome.

I’m not sure I’ve ever left a review on google but felt compelled to do so here. It was a very...

A coworker and I came here during a Wednesday game (12:40pm 1st pitch). We checked in about 11:45am and they said it'd be about a 15 min wait. (you have 15 minutes once the txt message comes through to get back or you lose your spot). we were seated (at the bar) about 12:10pm. The bartender was very kind and knowledgeable. We got the Big Eddy Burger ($17) and Duncan Creek Steak Sandwich ($19), and beers (of course). Both sandwiches were great and came with lots of fries. Its also worth noting that you can bring beer in & out of the restaurant now, thats a great feature. Attendance will increase on these weekday day games as kids get done w/ school, i'm sure these wait times will increase too. We'll be back!
