JoJo's Fried Chicken — Restaurant in Milwaukee

I was in the mood for fried chicken. My wife was was working, so it was just me.

I Googled “Best Fried Chicken in Milwaukee.”

Jo Jo’s just kept coming up, so I decided, despite living on the other side of town, I’ll go there! So I drove from Whitefish Bay to Jo Jo’s.

It was well worth the drive.

I went in, ordered, had some laughs with the owner, employees and friendly neighborhood customers, while I waited for the fresh chicken to be cooked to order. That’s how they do it. Didn’t take long and I was happy to have it freshly cooked anyway.

The chicken was amazing! Golden and crispy on the outside and juicy and cooked to perfection on the inside. Not greasy. Just flavorable and good!

If I would change anything, it might have been just a tad on the salty side, but certainly nothing that would stop me from going back to take out more.

Delivered half-raw fried chicken to our home. They were wet, not crispy and a chicken wing was still bleeding red when it was tore open.

To their credit they took back what they originally delivered and replaced it with fully-cooked fried chicken at no extra cost.

Despite their mistake we would have given them repeat business (everyone makes a mistake) BUT now they refuse to deliver to us. They "refuse to deal with our address anymore" although they were the ones who delivered us half-raw "fried" chicken once out of many previous deliveries without problems.

Astonishingly bad...

Owner ran business with great crispy, juicy chicken. Their crispy fries are great and the slaw is creamy and fantastic. They delivered to my house which is about 6 miles away from their store (Very Good). The owner and his wife are the only ones that cook the food ensuring quality and cleanliness. This restaurant was suggested to me by a family member and I'm glad I ordered from them because they have the best chicken on the south side of Milwaukee and possibly in all of Milwaukee.
